Please continue to pray for little Renee Ford as her family is preparing for her upcoming bone marrow transplant this summer. In just a few weeks Renee and family will travel to NC for a bone marrow transplant to take place for the treatment of Diamond Blackfan Anemia. Shortly after her birth, Renee was diagnosed with DBA. Renee has continued to receive blood transfusions every few weeks in order to replenish her red blood cells which her own bone marrow does not supply. The hope is with the bone marrow transplant Renee' body will optimally begin to make her own red blood cells and she will not need to rely on blood transfusions anymore. If anyone would like to find out how you can help Renee and her family please contact Beth Sinha @ (540) 776-0739 or email

Please join us as we close this Sabbath. Join us for prayer meeting on Wednesday at 7:00 pm. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The Harrisonburg SDA Church is holding a SURPRISE celebration for Pastor Bob Clarke on July 24. This is a celebration to honor his 50 years of successful ministry. Pastor Clarke was formerly the pastor of the North Valley SDA Church. Space is very limited in the auditorium where this event will be held so our congregation is being asked to send cards rather than actually attend the event. All those who know Pastor Clarke can send him a thoughtful letter of congratulations on 50 years of ministry and thanks for being our pastor. Please do not contact Pastor Clarke directly since this event will be a SURPRISE!!! Send your cards to: Janet Olsyne 4272 Big Run Drive Elkton, VA 22827 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Would your family be interested in camping out under the stars? You and your family can set up tents right on the North Valley grounds ahead of time on Friday June 11 at anytime during the day. Tents in the church closet can be used for those who do not have tents. This camp out dated for June 11th-12th is meant to encourage family togetherness with planned activities like: pizza on Friday, having breakfast Sabbath morning before church, packed/cooler lunch after church at the Peaks, & Peaks of Otter hike Sabbath afternoon. Personal time with families are encouraged like: devotional and prayer time, singing, playing board games Friday afternoon, etc. Any helpers would be appreciated to help make this happen. The bus trip, which is halfway up the hiking trail can be prepaid before Sabbath. Sign your name on the sign up sheet for the bus trip. The camp ending with the hike will be the big event that will take place most of the Sabbath afternoon. Donations will help kids of families that are already planning to go to Camp Blue Ridge. Come out and support so our kids can go to camp.

Websites for online Bible studies and other SDA programming: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Energize our church finances! Now that spring is in full swing and has energized us to clean out closets, get out and walk, and do all kinds of other things that we’ve been putting off to get everything in your home and life organized, please don’t forget our “Light the Fire” building campaign. Remember to keep up with giving your pledge. And if you haven’t pledged yet, please prayerfully consider doing so. Cards are on the large sideboard in the foyer. Simply take one, fill it out, and put it in the offering plate. Your pledge will help make paying off our mortgage a breeze, and we can then begin to use those funds for outreach. Thanks for being a part of helping North Valley to better help further God’s kingdom work here in the Roanoke Valley.

For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh

day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”; and again in this place: “They shall not enter My rest.” 6 Since therefore it remains that some must enter it,

and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience, again He designates a certain day, saying in David, “Today,” after such a long time, as it has been said: 8

“ Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.”

For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. --Hebrews 4:4-9
