Our free open days give prospective students the chance to meet Northern Ballet Academy staff and find out more about our training programmes and technique in a taster class. All Open Days will be held in Northern Ballet’s brand new studios in Leeds City Centre. Students in their first year of the programme usually train with us on 2 weekday evenings and Saturdays.
Professional Programme (Centre for Advanced Training) Funding information Northern Ballet Academy is striving to ensure that talented students can access training, regardless of family or financial background. If you have a query or concern regarding fees please contact the Academy team to discuss. The full cost of the course is £3,577 per year (based on costs for September 2011) and means tested financial support is available to successful applicants. Please note that from Level 4 and above there is a £73 top-up fee bringing the course cost to £3,650. The following information is from the academic year 2011 – 2012 but can be used as a base to estimate figures for academic year 2012 – 2013.
Amount of grant The full amount of grant is approximately £3,577 a year. You will not have to make any contribution if your family income before tax is £29,340 or less (after deducting £1,900 for each dependent child in the family) in the tax year ending April 2011. If your family income is more you will receive a smaller grant and will need to make a contribution as detailed in the following table. Relevant income

The next step Should you be successful in your application you may be able to get help towards your contribution from other sources â€“ please contact Northern Ballet Academy to discuss this. Parental contributions may be paid in instalments over the year. Suitable payment plans can be discussed individually following the offer of a place.
Travel and dancewear Students may apply for financial assistance with travel and dancewear costs. Applications can be made on a yearly basis, and assistance is means tested.
