Vertical Ecologies is the headquarters of an alternative energy company. The design engages the public by becoming a learning center of alternative energy resources. The building is operated by algae power which is produced by the building itself. The project invites the public to explore the performance of the building and learn about sustainable energy.

Free Market is architecture as an interface for expression. In current practice, corporations

employ invasive technologies to gather information we volutarily make accessible online. This Big Data collection is fairly benign. The fear is, how controlling can these corporations become when the data compilation and distribution moves to the offline realm? These technologies challenge ideas of privacy and democracy in public space. Free Market investigates ways in which architecture can ease the fear by providing spaces of dialogue between the corporations and the public. The project explores notions of democracy and freedom between agencies and citizens. Free Market is a series of designed small, medium, and large moments of expression and mediated surfaces of conciliatory architecture.

The Low Line explores ways in which architecture serves as an interface between people and state. The project foments democracy by designing spaces such as loggias, walls of discourse, and thinking pods that encourage conversation and provide a forum between citizens of europe and their politicians. Its location across the high speed rail station facilitates the distribution of the message across multiple european cities.

Bridge as Social Catalyst in chemistry, a catalyst is a substance that causes or accelerates a chemical reaction. The bridge becomes the driving force of social interaction. Spaces emerge from the it. The Bridge is not only a connector but a destination in which the public can engage; revitalizing the now isolated space of Reed St. Yards.
