BLOGPOST Come celebrate Asian-American Designers at Fashion’s Night Out with me! Guest writer - Rumi Neely

Fashion’s Night Out Japan is making its way back and even better. Thursday, September 6, 2012 will definitely be another significant fashion night to remember, hosted by Japan’s up and coming leading retailer, UNIQLO from 6-10pm at Omotesando Hills. Join us with general merriment to celebrate Asian-American Designers who have acscended to the top tier of New York fashion, representing an important demographic shift on Seventh Avenue. So get ready for an evening of fun, food, and fashion exclusives, while enjoying all the excitement fashion entails. And of course, we can’t forget four hours of non-stop shopping! Fahion’s Night Out is essential for every fashionista, and like one of my favorite designers, Jason Wu always says, “It’s so exciting!” who became a household name not only in this country, but also in his native Taiwan, when his dress was selected by the First Lady. “Fashion is so much more than dressing up, Me with fashionistas at 2011’s Fashion Night Out, Tokyo. its about express how you feel, it’s inspiring.” -Alexa Chung, Fashion Leaderw

More information can be found on my blog at fashiontoast.com and on fashionsnightout.com/JAPAN.

“I grew up around clothes. It was like a default. Fashion became one of the few outlets for Asian-Americans who wanted to put their name out there.” Designer, Derek Lam [to make an appearance at the event]
