Ballroom Dancing – Waltz

By the end of the nineteenth century, waltz became more standardized and is often performed during social gatherings. It is the same today. When it comes to celebrating a special event or occasion, it doesn’t matter how old you are or what generation you came from— the waltz is the standard dance that everybody goes to. The waltz is typified by its gentle and elegant movements, namely the sway, rise and fall. The important thing to remember here is to make every movement as smooth as possible. Beginners usually make the mistake of thinking too much of these as “steps” so it comes out as mechanical and robotic. Think soft and graceful when you dance the waltz.
