On your [major] co-op or internship, you will gain real-world experience working at a company such as [co-op companies].
As a freshman, you’re not expected to know which aspect of business you want to focus your education—and ultimately your career—on. After all, there are a lot of choices to consider.
On Day One at Lindner, all freshmen are grouped into Learning Communities of approximately 20 students. You will take the majority of your first-year classes together and throughout your freshmen year, you will work as a team on Project Strategy, Project Innovation and Project Impact as part of the Lindner Fast Track.
Lindner co-op students earn an average of $41,000 before graduation.*
Business Pathways is a freshman course that introduces you to every major offered within Lindner. Each week a guest speaker will share his or her realworld experiences with you. Those stories and question-and-answer sessions will really help you learn more about [major] as well as other business tracks so that you can better determine what you do (and don’t) want to explore further.

With 12 majors and 13 minors to choose from, there are over 150 degree combinations available, so there’s sure to be one that’s right for you.

study abroad Lindner is the only college on the UC campus with its own International Programs office. This means you will have access to study abroad programs specifically designed to complement your business major. Explore the culture and history of Europe and learn about doing business in the European Union during a study abroad trip to Germany, France or England. Study local business issues and hike the Andes mountains in Chile. Climb the Great Wall and learn cross-cultural skills in China. We offer our students all of these global opportunities and more. *Lindner students who complete four co-op/internship rotations earn an average of $41,000 before graduation
Project Strategy: Partner with one of 30 world-leading companies such as Procter & Gamble, Target, or the Cincinnati Reds to perform a strategic analysis of the company’s operations and provide recommendations to your client’s executive team.

Project Innovation: Dream up a new product or service such as a dorm room cleaning service, campus-based video game rental store or a rent-a-pet service and build out a full business plan to support and launch your concept. [Test out your passion] Project Impact: Select a United Way organization such as Freestore Foodbank, Marvin Lewis Community Fund or Girl Scouts of Western Ohio and work with that partner to achieve its goals and improve the Cincinnati community.
