I look forward to spending time with great friends, meeting new people, sharing ideas, exploring AZ and relaxing with my wife. What is your connection to MS? I have participated and completed 24 consecutive MS-150 rides from Houston to Austin. I am a co-leader (behind the amazing Steve Moskowitz) of the ConocoPhillips Bike Club and serve on the Board of Trustees of the MS Society. What motivates you? I am motivated by helping others and seeing them accomplish goals that they questioned the possibility of achieving. This relates to completing the MS-150 and raising impactful fundraising. Knowing that $.83 of every MS dollar is utilized toward our purpose is best-in-class and extremely motivating. Does your bike have a nickname? If so, what is it? The people are the most fun on the TOC trip. I enjoy all of the MS personnel that run off the event, as well as meeting fun people that have raised so much money to help people with MS. What is your connection to MS? I didn't know anyone with MS when I started riding in the BPMS 150. I did it as a challenge to see if I could ride all of the way from Houston to Austin. Since then I have learned that I know people who have MS, that I never knew before. What motivates you? Competition Motives me, as well as helping other people. I played basketball and tennis in high school, went to college on a basketball scholarship, and was lucky enough to play on many United States basketball teams and travel over ther world. I am active with my QuickBooks Consulting, and belong to business groups related to that. Did you use social media in your fundraising efforts this year? If so, how? Yes, for the first time, but I didn't really have time to learn how to use it effectively. Maybe some of the people on the trip can help me. Next year I want to do a lot better job at this.
