Great Anchor Verses to Meditate Upon There are Bible verses that have been important to the Christian church from one generation to the next. “Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. ” Psalm 46:10 – New International Version “I can go do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 - New King James Version “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no danger because you are with me. Your rod and your staff – they protect me.” Psalm 23:4 - Common English Bible “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: ‘For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.’ No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:35-39 – New International Version “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 – New King James Version “Then the peace of God that exceeds all understanding will keep your hearts and minds safe in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7 - Common English Bible “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 - New King James Version Peace to your soul.

Keep Sanctuary Clean We have been receiving complaints about food and drinks being brought into the sanctuary. They are asking that we not do this. Additionally, paper is being torn up and left on the floor in the very back pews and paper stuffed down in the air conditioning vents. Please don’t leave paper cups, food, paper and other items in the sanctuary. Let’s show the Farrington church that we appreciate that their sanctuary is a special place for them, and that we will not disrespect their house of worship.

Marriage Encounter From the weekend of August 31 through September 2 a Marriage Encounter weekend is being held in Black Mountain, North Carolina sponsored by Lutheran church. In the past members of our congregation have expressed an interest in going to one of these weekends, if you are interested contact Dexter at 919323-1963. These weekends fill up very quickly. If you want to learn more about Marriage Encounter go to www.GodLovesMarri ages.org.
