2019 ARBA CONVENTION

It’s that time of the year, ARBA Convention is coming to Reno, Nevada, October 19 – 23. I can hardly wait to put those new juniors on the show table and see how they do, shop for supplies and rabbits to buy, and hang out with old and new friends. If you have never been to convention, I recommend you try attending. It is like a regular show yet much, much better. You will get to meet folks from all over the country and will never have to apologize for talking “rabbits” all the time. If you are a youth it can be even more exciting. There are a variety of ARBA contests just for Youth. It is an opportunity to buy quality rabbits. The best bonus of all is that Convention is where you can find the largest concentration of the country’s best breeders. We will be having our awards banquet on Tuesday, so please watch Facebook for details. All you need is to RSVP and pay when you arrive at the restaurant. Additionally, there will be the JW booth where Wooly items are for sale. There will be a NJWRC general membership meeting on Monday morning. Also, in Convention tradition, there will be a raffle for a Trio of Jersey Woolies. The Trio is comprised of 2 does and a buck with pictures available 3 weeks before Convention on FB. This year’s Trio is going to be outstanding. You can buy raffle tickets on the NJWRC site (NJWRC.org) or at the NJWRC booth. Be sure you have all your transporting arrangement made before “winning” the Trio. And, as always, you will have an opportunity to buy a rabbit at the Golden Fleece Auction on Monday at 1pm. Three weeks before Convention, pictures will be posted with bios on each rabbit. All auction animals are selected before Convention and there are a limited number of animals in the auction. If you are a newbie, the Trio raffle and Auction are two really great places to get your Jersey Wooly start. There are lots of us around to help you with your selection, if you need assistance. There will be a lot of information shared about Convention on FB. The website will have Trio tickets available for purchase at www.NJWRC.org for those not attending.
