LONDON Day 1, 17th May 2012 Today the group will arrive at London Heathrow Airport where they will be collected and be taken on a full day tour of London. The tour will include seeing Kensington Palace, the Royal Albert Hall and Albert Memorial before heading down to Trafalgar Square, along Whitehall, past the Prime Minister's Residence at Downing Street and around Parliament Square, where you will see Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and, of course, Westminster Abbey. You then head to St James' Park and Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace In the afternoon the tour will continue with a visit to St Paul’s Cathedral, Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece rebuilt following the 1666 Great Fire of London and the setting for the thanksgiving services for both the Golden Jubilee and the 80th Birthday of Her Majesty the Queen.

You will then head to the Tower of London, founded by William the Conqueror in 1066 and enlarges by successive sovereigns, the Tower of London is one of the world’s most famous and spectacular fortresses and The Beefeaters who guard the Tower will regale you with stories of its past. You will then visit the Crown Jewels, including the magnificent solid-gold crown used at the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, the enormous Cullinan diamonds. Your accommodation will be at The Comfort Inn, Vauxhall Overnight accommodation Airport Transfer Full day mini bus tour of London LONDON/CAMBRIDGE Day 2, 18th May 2012 This morning following breakfast the group will have free time to explore London or to spend some time shopping in the vast array of shops you will find in the City. 1pm You will be collected from your hotel and make the drive to the famous University City of Cambridge which combines the atmosphere of a rural town with the grandeur and tradition of its ancient university which dominates the city. On arrival you will take a guided walking tour of Cambridge taking in the sights of Cambridge University which contains 31 colleges, some of which can be visited. Kings College, is famous for its chapel, and has beautiful stained glass windows and a gravity defying vaulted roof. St John’s College has a replica of Venice’s bridge of Sighs. You will then check into your hotel and have the evening free. Your accommodation will be at the Holiday Inn Express.

YORK Day 3, 19th May 2012 9am you will set off for the Medieval City of York. York centre is enclosed by the City walls of which more miles of wall lay in tact than any other city walls in England. With your tour leader you can explore The Shambles is York’s oldest street, this narrow medieval cobbled street is lined with 15th century Tudor buildings which lean into the street so that their roofs almost touch. Then onto York Minster, the largest medieval cathedral in Europe. The present minster was built between the 1220s and 1470s and has all the different stages of Gothic architecture. Climbing the 275 steps to the top of the central tower is an exhilarating experience. You will pass medieval pinnacles and gargoyles and at the top you’ll have the best view of the ancient city. You will then travel to Newcastle where you will check in to your hotel and have some free time. Your accommodation will be at the Holiday Inn Express, Newcastle Centre.

HADRIANS WALL/ NORTHUMBERLAND/ EDINBURGH Day 4, 20th May 2012 9am You will set off from Newcastle making the journey to Edinburgh.Your first stop of the day will be to see a section of Hadrian’s Wall, the Roman coast to coast defense against marauding northern tribes. Then you will carry on through Northumberland National Park to the Scottish border. You will make a photo stop at Jedburgh for a glimpse of the house of Mary, Queen of Scots , and then Melrose with its 12th Century Abbey ruins and connections with Robert the Bruce. You will arrive in Edinburgh in the afternoon and once you have checked in you can have some time to explore the capital of Scotland, which combines everything you would want in a historic city from its famous castle, royal palace, narrow medieval streets and Georgian squares to a dynamic modern dimension that includes international festivals, cutting edge arts, trendy bars and enticing restaurants all amidst a cosmopolitan environment but with a noticeably Scottish flavour Your accommodation will be at the Holiday Inn Express on Edinburgh historic Leith Docks. EDINBURGH Day 5, 21st May 2012 Today you will have full day to enjoy this “Prince of Cities.” Morning sightseeing to the 200-year-old “New Town” and famous scientists, inventors, and novelists. In the “Old Town,” drive up the narrow Royal Mile to Edinburgh Castle. The Edinburgh Castle dominating the skyline of Edinburgh, Scotland to admire Scotland’s Crown Jewels. You have an option to board the former Royal Yacht Britannia. For over forty years, the Royal Yacht served the British Royal Family.

Britannia is now a unique five-star visitor experience; come and tour five decks of this historic ship, which for the Queen was once the perfect royal residence for glittering state visits and family holidays. GRETNA GREEN/ LAKE DISTRICT / CHESTER Day 6, 22nd May 2012 At 9am you will set off from your hotel heading south through the history steeped Lowland Hills and make a stop off at Gretna Green, where the blacksmith used to wed runaway couples. You will then drive through the beautiful scenery of the English Lake District, driving through Wordsworth’s Grasmere, then follow the shores of Lake Windermere, the largest natural lake in England where you will stop for lunch. Carrying on you will travel to Chester, the historic country town on the River Dee. Here you will have a walking tour which will include the Roman remains, black and white half-timbered buildings, the two tiered arcades called the “Rows” and Chester Cathedral which stands within the walls and dates 1093. You will have time for dinner in Chester before heading to your accommodation. Your accommodation will be at the Holiday Inn Express, Stoke on Trent.

IRONBRIDGE/ STRATFORD UPON AVON Day 7, 23rd May 2012 At 9am you will set off from your hotel making your first stop of the day at Ironbridge, a settlement on the River Severn, at the heart of the Ironbridge Gorge. Ironbridge developed beside, and takes its name from, the famous Iron Bridge (“Cradle of the Industrial Revolution”), a 30 metre (100 ft) cast iron bridge that was built across the river there in 1779. Leaving Ironbridge you will travel to Stratford-upon-Avon, a living monument to William Shakespeare before driving through the scenic Cotswold Hills with a stop for photos in Broadway. Your final destination of the day is Bristol where you will pass by Brunel’s daring Clifton Suspension Bridge, the SS Great Britain and the historic harbor where John Cabot sailed in 1497 to discover America. BRISTOL/BATH/STONEHENGE Day 8, 24th May 2012 At 9am you will have a couple of hours free time to rest or to explore Bristol City Centre. At 11am you will be collected from your hotel and driven to the Roman City of Bath where you will have a walking tour and see some amazing panoramic views and some of the finest architectural sights in Europe. You can visit the most impressive Roman remains in Britain and one of the best preserved Roman spas in the world. The Pump Room directly above the Roman Baths. In the heart of the city centre you Entrance to Stonehenge Optional Entrance to the Roman Baths will find Bath Abbey, founded in 1499, it stands on the site of an earlier Norman Cathedral and the original Abbey Church built in the 8th century. Later in the afternoon you will travel to Stonehenge, Britain’s most important iconic archaeological site and is also one of Britain’s greatest mysteries. Despite a number of theories nobody really knows why the Pre-historic Britons built it some 5000 years ago. You will then travel to your accommodation and have the evening free. Itinerary: Day 1: Today we arrive in Amsterdam. We will be transferred to the Hotel. The evening is at lesiure. Day 2: Today we start off by taking a canal boat cruise to get a general overview of the city. After the cruise, we take a walking tour along the historic canal ring to soak up the atmosphere and architecture of Amsterdam's Golden Age. Stop along the way to grab a bite at one of the many Dutch styled Brown Cafe's or we try that famous local Dutch speciality: French Fries with mayonnaise. After Lunch we head to Van Gogh Museum. After that we can than relax in a nearby Voldelpark or have a leisurely drink at Leidseplein square. For those who love shopping, they can go shopping along Amsterdam's main shopping district running from Leidsstraat to the Kalverstraat shopping arcade. For those who like to experience something different, one can go and visit the Red Light District. Day 3: In the morning today we will have a half day excursion to Rotterdam. Holland’s second largest city. The city Centre offers plenty of shopping opportunities and the city's nightlife is also legendary, with a more cutting edge and much less touristy than Amsterdam. However we will have our English speaking local guide to guide us on this half day tour. In the afternoon we will return back to Amsterdam and spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Day 4: Today we will go on a half day tour to Delft where we will visit a Delft Blue Pottery. The afternoon is spent at leisure.

Day 5: Today we will visit The Hague (Den Haag), the city that seats The Houses of Parliament. The evening is spent at leisure. Day 6: Today is spent at lesuire for those who like shopping or exploring the country on their own. New York City Tour

Today we will spend an exciting day exploring New York City, beginning with a visit to Ground Zero, site of the former World Trade Center, which was demolished in the September 11, 2001 attacks, as well as Wall Street, the city’s financial district. From here we will travel to the historic Trinity Church and Federal Hall, where George Washington was inaugurated as the first President of the United States. A visit to New York would not be complete without seeing the Empire State Building* or the Statue of Liberty, which we will see from a cruise of the New York Harbor.* We will also visit the United Nations Headquarters, the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum,* home to the World War II aircraft carrier the USS Intrepid, Rockefeller Center, and 5th Avenue. After arriving in Philadelphia, dubbed the "City of Brotherly Love," we will visit the Liberty Bell, an iconic symbol of American independence, Independence Hall, where the foundations of American government were constructed by the Continental Congress, and the Old Congress Building. From here we will continue on to Lancaster, home to the oldest Amish settlement in the U.S, where the lifestyle and culture of its inhabitants insulates them from many of the worldly influences of our modern society.

In the Amish Village,* you will get to see an Amish market, farms, houses, and horse-drawn buggies, and truly feel yourself transported back two hundred years. Later in the afternoon, we will arrive in Washington DC, the capital of the United States. DAY4

Washington DC City Tour

Our full day of sightseeing in Washington DC will begin with a visit to the White House, followed by a tour of many of the city’s major attractions, including Capitol Hill, where the US Senate and House of Representatives meet, the stately Jefferson Memorial, honoring the third President of the United States, and the Lincoln Memorial, a Greek style monument with a large seated statue of this famous President. We will also visit the Washington Monument and the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial, as well as the Vietnam War, Korean War, and World War II Memorials to honor the US soldiers who fell in those wars. Finally, we will conclude our day tour by visiting the Kennedy Arts Center, home to the National Symphony Orchestra, followed by the Smithsonian Institution.

DAY5 Washington DC - Hershey’s Chocolate Town - Niagara Falls Night Tour Today we will depart for Hershey’s Chocolate World, passing through Harrisburg, the capital city of Pennsylvania. Known as the sweetest place on earth, Hershey’s Chocolate World features a free Chocolate Tour and many restaurants and shops specializing in Hershey’s products, attracting thousands of visitors every year. After our visit, we will travel to the Corning Museum of Glass,* the largest glass museum in the world, where we will spend some time watching live glassmaking shows and shopping for delicate glass souvenirs in their glass market. Next we will head to Niagara Falls, arriving in the late afternoon. This morning, we will begin our day with a visit to Goat Island, which gives a breathtaking panoramic view of the three waterfalls that make up Niagara Falls: Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls. During the summer, the thrilling Maid of the Mist boat ride* will take you up close to American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls and then underneath the curve of Horseshoe Falls, dousing you with a misty spray that will make your afternoon! Montreal - Boston - Lobster Dinner

This morning we will continue our tour of Montreal, the second largest French-speaking city in the world (second only to Paris). During our tour, we will see some of the most famous sights in Montreal, including the Montreal City Hall and the Notre Dame Basilica in Old Montreal; Olympic Park, a district which includes many structures created for the 1976 Olympics, including Olympic Tower*; as well as the fascinating Biodome,* which displays replicas of four ecosystems found in the Americas.
