KTM DUKE 390 KTM made a lot of waves and also gathered lot of attention last year with the release of DUKE 200. Now it’s bigger brother, DUKE 390 is up for bookings. KTM is a world leading company when it comes to midrange sports bikes and this launch will make sure that they lead it for time to come. DUKE 390 is a real beast punching out 44.3 bhp and segment leading 35 Nm of torque. It looks much like its younger brother in terms of styling. The only distinguishing factor is the sporty 390 logo on the tank. It offers better seat than its sibling and is just as confortable. It is very good for anything from busy city streets to long highway rides. Seating position is upright which will be very useful in day to day city commutes. It houses a tank of 11 liters.

The bike packs a real punch at its heart which enables it to reach the crazy top speed of 170 Km/hr, with an ease. Bike can do 0-100 in 7 seconds thanks to its unbeatable power to weight ratio. The 6-speed gear box gives out linear power generation without any dry zones and does good speeds at lower RPMs. It also houses a Bosch Electronic Fuel Injection System. Duke 390 comes with ABS as standard installation which means a whole lot more safety and better braking distances. ABS enables the vehicle to stop easily by eliminating all kinds of skidding and slipping of tires. The front upside down Forks provide a good amount of dampening. It’s very light at kerb weight of only 145 KGs which enables smooth cornering and maneuvering of the bike. It comes

with the best tires on any Indian bike yet with Metzeler Sportec M5 tires, which are very high performance tires. The Motorcycle is calmer than its younger sibling thanks to its higher power which enables rider to achieve higher speeds at lower RPMs and hence with lower grunt. The mileage will only be 10 % lower than the DUKE 200 due to better power to weight ratio and efficient gear box, which means that if it’s ridden hard, it would average at about 24-25, if not at 30-32 which is fairly good considering that it’s a 375 CC engine. Priced at very competitive 1.8 lakhs rupees ex-showroom, the KTM DUKE 390 is the best in its segment with best in class power, mileage and technologically advanced goodies like ABS and EFI systems. The price gives it a huge edge over its competition and also high praises from riders all over.
