EXECUTIVE SUMMARY This report contains the results and a brief analysis of the Survey conducted amongst students -the first publicly available survey designed to measure the status quo and the analytics of the students of Lord Krishna College of Technology and the College. The Survey was conducted on 25th February, 2009. Well over 350 responders from all the three batches viz. first, second and third year, participated in the survey. The survey was spread over 28 questions, which covered fields like technical awareness aspects of the students, their presence in the college affairs, how they study, and their interest in engineering studies and also the SWOT analysis of the college. “Results & Analysis, contains the graphical representation of the entire questions covered in the survey. Each question has its result depicted in a separate graph with a brief analysis of the result. "Comments & Suggestions", contains many interesting insights on how responders feel about our college, including their suggestions and preferences. Many responders took the time to explain their particular point of view and how the college and students can work for the benefit of the college. Basically, Q.28 is covered in this section, as it deals with only comments, suggestions and preferences.

28. What sorts of more facilities should the college provide; any other comments; suggestions / preferences. This was an open-ended question. The students filled the spaces given with great enthusiasm, wrote all that they wanted to share with the college administration and management. They wrote even the smallest things. We have compiled a few major comments and suggestions. They are as follows: • Please appoint a good principal from technical side. • The college should have an official website, and show the performance of all the students on the website. College should provide email ID to all students. (We would like to mention that The Etcetera had submitted a proposal for the development of the college website by us.) • The rules and regulations should be strict. • Office staff should be cooperating in nature. • Some tech fest or events like tech fest of DAVV should be organized. • Saturday should be off. • Management and administration should maintain healthy relationship with students. • The gate of new building should not be locked, as there can be any accident there, moreover, who has to study will study. • There should be proper drinking water facility. • A good garden should be developed and college campus should be made attractive. • Library should provide good books and journals. • Internet facility should be available in the new building and should be good. • Book Bank, Canteen and sports facility should be improved. • Some measures should be taken so that labs are held properly. • There should be dustbins on every floor as well as in the washrooms. • Provide mirror in each washroom. • Electrical connections should be checked regularly. • Efforts should be made to develop soft skills in students. • Technical tours should be conducted. • Syllabus should be completed. • There should be a notice board on every floor. Page 36 of 40

• Effort should be made to keep the college campus clean. • Please attach the result of this survey on the notice board. • Comments and suggestions are given to those who are going to take some action. • I enjoyed answering the questions of the survey. • Thank you ETC for this survey. This will try to improve our college in a number of better ways. • ETC should conduct more surveys like this.
