Take Advantage of LeadStreet® and remax.com® RE/MAX is the first national real estate franchise to publish virtually all U.S. residential listings belonging not only to RE/MAX Associates, but competitors as well, in thousands of cities and towns. RE/MAX knows that each remax.com 6

visitor is a potential customer, whether or not the properties they view are connected to a RE/MAX Associate. Each participating RE/MAX office receives a customizable web site, and individual Associates are able to enhance their listings with virtual tours, photos and additional information. An accompanying advertising campaign on national television and online – through search engines such as Google and Yahoo – drives consumers to remax.com. A major element of the RE/MAX network’s online listings initiative is a comprehensive lead-generation and management program called RE/MAX LeadStreet that delivers an average of 120,000 leads to RE/MAX agents every month. When consumers want more information on listings or to schedule showings, they register with remax.com and leads are sent to RE/MAX agents on a rotating basis. With one of the largest commercial hotair balloon fleets in the world, a RE/MAX Hot Air Balloon is in the air an equivalent of more than nine months every year. An estimated 100 million people see a RE/MAX Balloon annually. The RE/MAX balloon appears at sporting events and balloon festivals. Since 1995, RE/MAX has been the title sponsor for the RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship – golf’s premier power event and a major international competition. And each year, the eight-month-long global event results in millions of impressions.

RE/MAX Green The RE/MAX Green program helps agents attract and assist buyers and sellers who value homes that are energy-efficient and environmentally friendly. Increasingly, consumers see green as a way of saving money on such things as energy usage while protecting the environment. And that’s just a starting point for exploring sustainable communities, green remodeling and quality of life. The RE/MAX Green program consists of two parts: • Green Training: Earn the National Association of REALTORS® Green professional designation through RE/MAX University. The RE/MAX support of Long Drive generates exposure for the RE/MAX network and brand around the world. On the local level, RE/MAX offices and affiliates often host qualifying events at little or no cost to themselves, also resulting in spectacular public exposure. It makes a big impression on customers and prospects, and each event is an excellent showcase for the RE/MAX Balloon and other marketing items that enhance an office’s professional image. The RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship has become a December tradition on ESPN, with the broadcasts reaching millions of viewers. Hosting a local qualifier gives you the chance to promote yourself and your RE/MAX office through an international sporting event. Each RE/MAX Affiliate is charged with protecting the integrity and strength of the RE/MAX network’s name, logos, slogans, and other imagery by: • Providing the highest levels of quality service, honesty and integrity.

• Reporting infringement of our marks by competitors to trademark@remax.net. • Using RE/MAX marks only as outlined in the RE/MAX Trademark and Graphic Standards manual. This strengthens the marks, and provides you the benefit of maximum brand recognition. The manual is available in your office or for download on RE/MAX Mainstreet. You also can help by letting us know if you see RE/MAX marks used improperly. The following pages contain basic guidelines regarding use of a few of the RE/MAX System’s most prominent marks.

Fundamental Rules for Using RE/MAX Trademarks/Logos/Slogans While you are becoming more familiar with the RE/MAX Trademark and Graphic Standards manual, here are some basics to get you started: 1. When using the RE/MAX name or marks, you must include your brokerage’s full name, address and phone number. Even when answering the phone, use the full office name, not just “RE/MAX.” 2. Do not use “RE/MAX” as a noun or verb, or in possessive or plural form. It should be used as an adjective. For example, “Contact your nearest RE/MAX® real estate office.” Use the ® symbol on the first or most prominent use of “RE/MAX.” 3. Do not modify the appearance of any RE/MAX trademark or logo in any way. 4. The only compliant format for an Associate domain name including “remax” is: remax-[office name]-[city]-[state/province/ country]-[Associate name].com, such as: remax-premier-denver-co-akelly.com. In the U.S., Web site addresses available through LeadStreet in the format [Mainstreet user ID].remax.com (example: akelly.remax.com) may be easier to market. 5. Make sure all your marketing and promotional materials contain the statement, “Each office is independently owned and operated.” 6. In addition to using the marks correctly in all materials, you must follow the trademark manual’s precise specifications for yard signs. 13
