To whom it may concern Reference for Nicole Keenan In order to fulfil a course requirement toward her degree in landscape architecture Nicole worked in my office and that of my colleagues for the final two months of 2012. While a relatively short period, she was involved in a wide range of activity. This included attendance at hearings, the environment court, site assessments, research, preparation of landscape graphics, mapping and various administrative tasks. We all found Nicole to be very personable, diligent, punctual and able. She also demonstrated considerable initiative and could be relied on to produce a high standard of work. She is receptive to advice and showed great enthusiasm. We therefore recommend her highly and are very confident that she will prove to be a true asset for future employers. We wish her all the best in her career as a landscape architect and know that she will do extremely well.

Yours sincerely,

Andrew Craig Registered Landscape Architect

During that year she also assisted us with the Re-Start (Cashel Mall) project, volunteering her time to undertake the implementation of the project enabling it to open on time and finished. As part of her practical experience requirements for her degree Nicole spent three weeks working in our office during her mid semester break this year. Rough and Milne Landscape Architects has a staff of 14 including landscape architects, an administrator and an urban designer. Nicole’s time in our office coincided with us being extremely busy, with our team working to deadlines on a number of projects. Nicole seamlessly fitted into our work environment and her work involved some general office administration and organisation as well as preparing landscape concept plans, planting and construction plans. Nicole also went out on site and assisted with taking on-site measurements and end of maintenance period planting inspections. A further component of her work was the preparation of graphic attachments to accompany expert witness written evidence. During her work in our office Nicole assisted, at various times, all staff members. She approached her work with enthusiasm and a sense of pride, and worked with the commitment necessary to meet deadlines. In every respect Nicole’s work was very commendable and she displayed an enquiring mind. Nicole had an excellent attitude towards her work and her open, friendly manner led her to having a good relationship with everyone in the office. Nicole also impressed me with her ability to get stuck in and to show initiative to help others busy trying to meet project commitments. From Nicole’s time with us I can recommend her as a person of high integrity and commitment and, with experience, I believe she has the potential to become an excellent landscape architect. Yours sincerely, Tony Milne Director Rough & Milne Landscape Architects Limited
