Ader School  Club:  

Do  you  need  extra  child  care?   ●  We  offer  an  Ader  School  Club  each  day   ader  school  from  Monday  to  Friday.   ○  Monday  -­‐  Thursday  -­‐  3pm  -­‐  5pm   ○  Friday  -­‐  2pm  -­‐  4pm   ●  We  accept  payment  for  our  Ader  School   Club  through  the  HM  Government  Tax  Free   Childcare  Scheme.     ●  Please  ask  for  more  details  in  our  school   office.  

Summer  Holiday  Club:  

We are  running  a  Holiday  Club  again  this  holiday:   ❖  Monday  30th  July                    -­‐        Friday  3rd   August     ❖  Monday  6th  August            -­‐        Friday  10th   August   ❖  Monday  13th  August      -­‐        Friday  17th   August     ❖  Monday  20th  August      -­‐        Friday  24th   August     Each  day  9am  -­‐  3pm     The  children  take  part  in  lots  of  fun  acOviOes   throughout  the  days.     ●  Come  and  join  us  at  the  Summer  Fete  on   Saturday  16th  June  12  -­‐  4pm  for  a  fun  Ome     ●  The  new  canopies  have  been  a  great   addiOon  meaning  year  round  outdoor  PE   lessons   ●  Peterborough  United  trio  visited  the  school   to  answer  quesOons  from  years  5  &  6     ●  The  pizza  lunch  was  a  huge  success  which   helped  contribute  to  the  census  funding     ●  Years  3  &  4  had  an  amazing  Ome  on  the   Sheringham  residenOal  trip;  the  weather   was  beauOful     ●  The  Vikings  made  an  appearance  in  school   and  will  be  returning  on  18th  June     ●  Well  done  to  everyone  who  helped  raise   £868.73  for  the  Poppy  Appeal    

School News:  

Domain Update:  Digital  Media   Nursery  have  ventured  into  the  computer  suite,  and  have   been  logging  on  and  pracOcing  lebers  using  paint.     Year  1  and  2  have  been  using  a  new  coding  program   called  ‘hour  of  code’,  which  is  a  free  piece  of  sodware   that  can  be  played  at  home.  It  teaches  children  how  to   input  instrucOonal  code,  and  is  themed  in  different  ways   such  as  Moana  and  Star  Wars,  making  it  very  abracOve   to  young  coders.  Along  with  this,  phase  2  have  been   ediOng  photos  as  part  of  their  Victorian  week.  Children   took  photos  of  themselves  in  a  Victorian  style  and  then   edited  them  to  make  them  look  like  they  had  been  taken   during  the  period.     Year  3  and  4  have  began  their  coding  element  of  the   curriculum,  using  KODU,  sodware  previously  used  in   year  5  and  6.  The  children  are  really  enjoying  this   program,  as  it  allows  the  user  to  create  their  own   computer  games!  Previous  to  this,  phase  3  have  been   creaOng  Vlogs  and  learnt  how  to  use  Google  Drive.     Year  5  and  6  have  been  invesOgaOng  safe  internet  usage,   as  part  of  their  crime  topic,  specifically  protecOng   personal  informaOon.  Previously,  filmed  Vlogs  about   their  liber  pick  that  they  conducted  around  the  local   area.     We  have  lots  of  new,  exciOng  changes  happening  to  the   digital  media  curriculum  over  the  summer  including  a   new  Apple  Mac  suite  in  Fulbridge  Academy  High,  new   ‘Dash’  robots  to  teach  children  early  coding  skills  and   HTML  coding  for  year  5  and  6  to  build  their  own   websites.
