BLUE MARLIN (London) Account Executive I’ve been working on a NPD project for BBDO Moscow. The Russian agency was responsible for the launching a new premium soft drink in the EU and the USA. Russian is my first language so I was given more responsibility on this project, discussing one-on-one with the client. Along with conference calls & meetings with the clients and investors, tweaking of a constanly changing proposal and management of the timeline & studio sources, I was heavily involved in the conversationes with several glass manufacturers working closely with the Structure Design Director. I was also responsible for organizing a two-day workshop for the Russian BBDO team when they visited London. The goal was to introduce them to the trendy environments like Shoreditch House where their product can be sold in the future.The workshop resulted in 3 areas of positioning based on the insights we gathered over 2 days, that the creative team used to create initial concepts.

BLUE MARLIN (Bath) Insights Executive Research for creative briefs, client pitches for the Global Business Development Director; Interviewing consumers in order to get insights about the product consumption for the creative team; Research on the psychology of alcohol & cigarette consumption. One of my biggest jobs was a thought piece about Russian consumer behavior and perception of brands that turned into a beautiful presentation we sent to a list of our existing clients to show that Blue Marlin understands the pecularities of the market from the inside.

Interests I’m interested in storytelling: how the great story is born, tools of creating it, language, images, characters and implications; I draw, take photos and spend lots of time exploring works of different designers and photographers; Whether it is backpacking through India or a decision to leave everything at home and go work in a different country, I like pushing the boundaries. And I absolutely adore driving my car and dancing.
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS Experienced, creative, enthusiastic, in love with arts. Hungry for knowledge and skills. Capable of great results under pressure. I learn easily and am responsible for what I am doing. Except those moments I cook... Burned stew pans, macaroni stuck to a cooker and me standing with innocent “wasn’t me” face. That’s where my skills and responsibilities flounder :)
REFERENCES To whom it may concern: Nika Dashchinskaya Nika joined the MA Brand Development course last year, applying directly from Moscow. The course aims to bridge the gap between strategic brand thinking and design execution, and receives students from a variety of backgrounds including marketing, management and graphic design. Students negotiate their own direction during the course, and develop a project based on their own interests and research, with a view to bringing something new to a market of their choice, visualizing their concepts with either a strategic emphasis, a designerly emphasis, or ideally, a good balance between the two. Nika has been an exceptional student in that, while she is not a graphic designer as such, she possesses a wide range of skills and sensitivity to visualize her ideas in a compelling way, supported by good written English. Her real strengths however are in dogged research and a natural instinct for future trends, in particular those concerning personal communications technology, fashion and social media, which has become the focus of her final dissertation, soon to be completed this September. It promises to be very engaging. Nika works extremely hard and has delivered all of her assignments on time, to a high degree of completion. I believe she would make an excellent addition to any team working in the area of brand development, and wish her every success in the future.
