Day 01, 14 NOVEMBER 2011 LJUBLJANA Upon arrival to the airport, transfer on your own to hotel in Ljubljana. The rest of the day at leisure. Dinner in local restaurant. (D)

Day 02, 15 NOVEMBER 2011 LJUBLJANA - ČATEŽ Breakfast in hotel During sightseeing tour on foot visit the most significant sights of the old city centre: the picturesque Central open-air Market and the Three Bridges, both designed by famous architect Joze Plecnik, the baroque Town Hall and the Robba’s Fountain. Continue to Novo Mesto, the centre of Dolenjska, situated along the Krka River. Visit Matjazeva domacija and learn the secrets of the Cvicek wine while walking through the house, its wine cellar and participating in their multivision about Cvicek. Continue to Catez. The rest of the day free to relax and experience many wellness and spa treatments in Čatež spa resort. Dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 03, 16 NOVEMBER 2011 OLIMJE – ROGAŠKA SLATINA Breakfast in hotel This morning we will travel north through Bizeljsko wine region, where you will have wine tasting at one of the many wineries. In Olimlje visit one of the oldest pharmacies in Europe and in Rogatec the open-air heritage museum. Overnight in Rogaška Slatina spa resort, where you will have free time to can experience prestigious comfort, quality spa and wellness programs. (B)

Day 04, 17 NOVEMBER 2011 MARIBOR - PTUJ Breakfast in hotel Travel to the Štajerska region and visit its most significant cities of Maribor and Ptuj. First stop today will be in the second biggest Slovenian city, nestled at the foothills of Pohorje. Spontaneous and relaxed, the attractive city of Maribor has a lot to offer. We visit the majestic Gothic Cathedral, the lively Main Square and discover the legends of the Franciscan Church. We will make our way over to the picturesque Town Square and visit the romantic Lent river bank to see the Old Vine House, with the oldest vine in the world. To make


the visit complete, we enjoy a light meal and taste the wines in one of the renowned wine cellars. Continue on the Drava Plain, surrounded by thermal springs, flourishing fields and vineyards, where Ptuj, the oldest Slovenian town, lies. It was mentioned already as Roman Poetovio in 69 BC. Numerous archaeological remains tell of those days, while its lovely present appearance originates from the Middle Ages, when Ptuj flourished for the second time. The medieval castle dominates a panoramic hill above Ptuj - it houses exceptional collections, illustrating the traditions and history of the region. Enchanted by the heritage of the past, we continue down the pretty streets, admiring the Provost Church, the poignant Orpheus’ Pillar and the flamboyant Town Hall. (B, WT)

Day 05, 18 NOVEMBER 2011 PTUJ Breakfast in hotel Day at leisure to enjoy the spa treatments at your hotel. Dinner in local restaurant. (B, D)

Day 06, 19 NOVEMBER 2011 PTUJ - BLED Breakfast in hotel Morning drive to Logar Valley, a protected regional park. Visit Rinka waterfalls and continue to Kamnik, a romantic town surrounded by the Alps. In the afternoon arrive to pearl of the Alpine region, Bled. Dinner in local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 07, 20 NOVEMBER 2011 BLED Breakfast in hotel Start the day with sightseeing tour of the pearl of the region, Bled. We will take you to imposing Bled Castle, perched on a cliff high above the lake. We will take a pletna boat ride to the island in the middle of the lake. Once we reach the island we’ll visit a small church on the island and ring a whishing bell. Rest of the day at leisure to relax in the wellness center at your hotel. Dinner in hotel. (B)

Day 08, 21 NOVEMBER 2011 BLED – GORIŠKA BRDA Breakfast in hotel Today travel from the Alpine region to Goriška Brda. On the way stop in Kobarid and visit the WW1 museum. Continue to the vineyard Goriška Brda. Dinner accompanied by local wines in the wine district of Goriška Brda. (B, D)

Day 09, 22 NOVEMBER 2011 ŠTANJEL – ŠKOCJAN CAVE - PORTOROŽ Breakfast in hotel Morning walk through a typical Karst village – Štanjel. You will continue to Škocjan to enter the wonder of the Karst underworld (protected by UNESCO). Afternoon drive to the Slovenian coast. In the evening free time to take a walk trough picturesque Piran, a town with a strong Venetian imprint and have dinner in a local fish restaurant. Overnight in Portorož. (B, D)

Day 10, 23 NOVEMBER 2011 PORTOROŽ Breakfast in hotel Day at leisure in Portorož to relax in the wellness center at your hotel. Dinner in hotel. (B,D)
