Shift is for “the future of work”. The end user being young adults and people who were constantly on the move. The intent, a chair that can be located in a lounge of an office building or cafe.

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT Our group decided on a bench concept that can expand to seat up to 4 people and have removable cushions.

THE PROBLEM •Flares are not Recyclable •Faulty ignition can harm user. •One flare can contaminate 240,000 gallons of water.

In 2000 it was recorded that 471,736 flares are generated annually in Florida. With each flare weighing 140g, Thats 66,043KG (145’600 lb) of waste annually. Or 13 male Asian Elephants.

•Almost 50 percent of boaters surveyed did not know flares were considered hazardous waste.

SOLUTION

Minimize the impact of flares on the environment as well as prioritizing safety and visibility.

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

With an emphasis on sustainability, the concept will be made out of PLA, and recycled or organic fabric. It will feature 4 L.E.D lights powered by saltwater batteries. The concept will be able to be stacked for storage and charging and is possible to expand effortlessly for easy deployment

My goal is to design a shoe that would enhance the aesthetic of everyday footwear,improve the functional purpose, and ultimately provide a satisfying user experience.

INTRODUCING OUTLANDER

They are lifestyle boots meant to innovate the way we wear boots. The intended market for Los Caminars would be the broad market of adults who want to look fashionable, yet comfortable while wearing boots. One major complaint that boot wearers have is the lack of support they have for their ankles. The main feature that stands Los Caminars out from the rest of the group is the belt buckle located on the upper part of the ankle. The boots are priced in the mid range going for $200 at Retail.

BUS SHELTER DESIGN STUDIO


DESIGN BRIEF STOP 121 - DISTILLERY DISTRICT Tasked with designing a bus shelter for the distillery district of downtown toronto. Distillery district is filled with art installations and a brick and mortar industrial feel Features include: • A Stack of diffused light that illuminates the area around the shelter helping passengers feel safe and warm. Pot lights located in the ceiling aswell • There is a T.V located inside the shelter to keep passengers up to date • Garden and live plant wall. This provides a more aesthetically pleasing landscape for passengers as well as treat the air in the neighbourhood.
