So this year, for 2014, I decided that I am going to be more organized. Don’t get me wrong, I am not the most disorganized person on the planet, but when it comes to my time and the proper way of organizing it, I am a bit of a failure. I realize more now than ever, that the busier I have been, the more neglectful I have become. Neglectful mostly of the people in my life who need me the most. I can’t tell you how many times lately, I’ve put my children off to answer business calls, or my family members whom I’ve owed a telephone call back for weeks, or a few of my dear friends that have been asking me for a get-together for months! That’s right, it is time to wake up and smell the roses and get my act together! I absolutely 100 percent know that my children, family and friends are the most important people in my life and without them I would be a lonely mess, so why is it I find myself this past year neglecting my favourite people? Too many things on my plate and a need to organize my time. So, as much as I could perhaps make that vow this new years to exercise more or cut down on my love of wine, my resolution is to start the year off by being more cognizant of the people who mean the most to me in my life and, by doing this, we all win.
