Short Description: An RN is similar to an LPN but holds more responsibilities in a wider aspect. An RN monitors the patient’s symptoms and records any changes in the patient’s condition. They are in charge of reporting accurate reports of medical histories, administering medication, and monitors the reaction or side effects of medication. Requirements: • Complete your prerequisites applying for nursing school or ADN at community college • Earn your nursing degree at a nursing school or community college (takes 24 months or less) • Must pass the NCLEX-PN exam to earn your license as an RN • Get licensed as an RN in your state


Q: Did you always want to be a nurse? If not, what did you want to be? A: No, I wanted to be a Teacher until my father died when I was 14 years old of cardiac arrest and kidney failure. Q: Share a little bit about your family? A: I have three children, and I am a single Mom. I teach my children that they can do all things through Christ that strengthens them. I love to come home and talk out our day. I'm raising my children to think positively about everything they do. Q: What is your most memorable day serving as a nurse?

Short Description: While an LPN may hold a lower title than an RN, they still have many important nurse duties. They provide a care routine for sick and injured patients. An LPN handles the basic needs of the patients by monitoring their blood pressure and monitoring any other vitals that need focus from the particular patient. Requirements: • Need a High Scool Diploma or a GED • Need to complete the LPN program at a nursing school or community college (can be completed in 12 months or less) • Must pass the NCLEX-PN exam to earn your license as an LPN



Short Description: A CNA provides health care for patients at homes, hospitals, or any other medical facility under the supervision of an RN or LPN. They often assist patients with their day to day that they cannot currently do without assistance. Requirements: • Proof of age. Must be at least 18 years old • High School Diploma or GED • Physical examination • Immunization records • TB test results • Background Check • CPR and First Aid Certification • Valid states drivers license or ID
