NFA has opened my eyes to the world and shown me how hard I need to work in order to accomplish my goals. Nick Kamireddy ’13 ~Preston

Dear Friends: Welcome to Norwich Free Academy. With great pride and confidence, we share information with you about our exceptional, independent high school with a rich history and a long-standing tradition of educational excellence. NFA students gain an experience that forever transforms and shapes their lives as evidenced by the passionate commitment, loyalty and respect of our alumni, students and employees. NFA graduates are well prepared for collegiate study, employment and, most importantly, for responsible and respectful citizenship. When they leave us as graduates, our students are ready to make a positive mark on the world well beyond the wrought iron gates of campus. Norwich Free Academy offers a robust, comprehensive educational program. With 250 courses, 30 interscholastic athletic programs, 38 visual and performing arts courses, 8 world languages, 50 college credit bearing courses and 65 clubs and activities, we view ourselves as a premier high school of choice. One of only two high schools in the country with a full time, professionally staffed art museum on its campus, we are home to the Slater Memorial Museum. Committed to excellence, we continually seek to improve and expand NFA's vast portfolio of educational programs and services. Today, students and families have more educational opportunities and school choice options than ever before. The competition to excel as a school has never been greater. We embrace and respect the challenges presented by your options. No high school in the region offers a program like NFA. In fact, we encourage you to use our exceptional program as the benchmark by which to make a high school choice. Please visit our campus; talk to our students, faculty and alumni. Feel our Wildcat enthusiasm, learn about our excellence, witness our mission in action as we prepare lives and carefully compare us with our competitors. The Norwich Free Academy is special. Choosing NFA is merely a beginning: tremendous opportunity and choice will follow.

I chose to come to NFA because of all the classes and opportunities they offer to their students. Starting off as a freshman, you really have no idea what the next four years hold. As you make your way through, you meet so many people and have so many amazing teachers. I found myself through art. I always look forward to going to my art classes. It is one of the best places to be able to express myself.
