AN INITIATIVE OF THE ROTARY CLUB OF WOODEND Hesket is Totally Wild!

Totally Wild, the children’s television program visited Hesket Primary School on Tuesday 15th July. The whole school was involved in showing presenter Natalie Hunter how they skip and why the Skipping Demonstration team members are the current Victorian State Champions.

Natalie and her film crew spent the day at the school filming different aspects of the team’s work. Team members were interviewed and gave instructions on how to become a great skipper. When asked, “What do you do if you make a mistake?” team member Sam Williams answered, “You just keep smiling and act as if it didn’t happen.” While the team was being filmed the other students were busy in the school’s kitchen preparing a lunch for the visitors. On such a cold day hot pumpkin soup with savoury scones and egg sandwiches were really appreciated. The program will be shown on Channel 10 in six to eight weeks time and everyone is excitedly looking forward to watching it. Submitted by Cliff Palmer
