Carver County is geographically one of the metro area’s smallest counties but continues to be one of the state’s fastest growing. Recent estimates by the Metropolitan Council predict the population will swell from 91,000 in 2010 to more than 131,000 in 2040 — and Carver County officials believe those numbers may be conservative. Residents take great pride in being an upscale community with beautiful natural surroundings. The county offers a combination of a picturesque setting with growing professional opportunities. Carver County is home to an array of recreational activities, including renowned golf courses, beautiful lakes, and miles of hiking and biking trails with some of the most breathtaking parks. Carver County government proceedings can be followed online at www. co.carver.mn.us. The Carver County Board is composed of five members, each of whom is elected from a geographic district.
