This Space for DOODLING: By Krysta Gibson Many moons ago when I started my first newspaper, The New Times, the world didn’t have computers to generate artwork or typeset articles. We did everything the oldfashioned way: by hand. Articles were typeset using a machine called a Compugraphic, and photos were made ready by using a large machine called a stat camera. Articles, photos, and ads were printed out on strips of special heavy paper. The strips were run through a machine which applied a sticky wax to the back, and then we stuck these strips down onto large sheets of paper, each of which eventually became a page in the finished product: a newspaper! Putting the ads and articles down onto the paper was like working a jigsaw puzzle. Everything had to fit with no blank spaces. Today, using computers, we can cut-and-paste until things fit. Then, we had to pull these pieces of paper up over and over again, repositioning and trimming until all the spaces were filled. It could be quite challenging, especially for people like me who don’t enjoy jigsaw puzzles.
My inspiration for giving you space to doodle? The book Zen Doodling by Carolyn Scrace (published in the U.S. by Barron’s), that’s full of inspiration for doodling of all kinds. This is great news for those of us who don’t draw but would like to express ourselves visually. The book gives basic information about materials needed, how to work with colors, and how to use themes.Then we’re shown how to create mandalas, doodling based on plants, buildings, and people, as well as how to make backgrounds, patterns and collages. Doodling creates a quiet space. I think this is why so many people do it while talking on the phone, making lists, or otherwise relaxing the brain. Zen doodling releases our creativity while focusing our mind, and can even help us carry the ability to focus into our meditative practices. Although making space for doodling on the front page of the newspaper wasn’t on my bucket list consciously, I think it has been there below the surface for years. So, now I am adding it and then crossing it off the list. It feels good.

As a soul proprietor, there’s probably no doubt in your mind that when you are working with a client or customer the exchange is a holy one. Here are six tips to help make your marketing work – or any of your work for that matter – a more sacred experience. 1. Reserve time to do your marketing. Set an intention, then make a commitment, that marketing your heartcentered business is one of the most important things you can do if you want your business to be a success. Set aside some time daily to work on your marketing projects. Just 15 minutes to a half hour is enough time to write a short article, make a few phone calls, or send a handwritten note. Treat this time as you would an appointment with a client and know that what you are doing is letting people know – who already want and need what you are offering – that you are ready and available to serve them.

Now that you’ve made a commitment to marketing your business on a regular basis, you’ll want to make sure the space where you do this is comfortable and inspiring. You may need to get away from your normal work-space to get your marketing

activities done. Get a comfy chair, put up pictures and quotations that inspire you, light a candle and take a few moments when you arrive in this space to just enjoy the deeper, more sacred feel of the place. Read the quotations or something else that inspires and uplifts your mood. Put on some inspiring or soothing music. This will help put you in a better frame of mind for being creative and help you get more done. 4. Create a sacred space in yourself. Now that you’ve reserved your sacred marketing time and working space, take just a few moments to let go of the day’s events, any pressing work, and any other concerns you may have. Take a deep breath and create some sacred space where it is most important: in your head. To help remove all the mental clutter, simply sit quietly for a few moments, breathing slowly in and out. If thoughts come up, and they will, smile gently, let the thoughts

You may find it helpful to have a notepad and pen handy so that you can jot down any thoughts or ideas that you want to remember later so your brain is not worrying about remembering during this exercise. After you’ve acknowledged your thoughts or written them down, return to your breathing. When you are ready to start your work, take a couple of really deep breaths, feel the energy, and begin your marketing work. 5. Work with awareness. At War With Will Power? By Elizabeth Franklin, M.S., M.F.T.
Have you ever wished you had more will power? The strength to resist those chocolate chip cookies and get out to exercise instead? The discipline to watch less television and read more books? The fortitude to complete the projects that you say you want to do but somehow never do? Will power is not the problem. You are not doomed to failure because you do not have more of it. The people who seem to magically resist doughnuts and go running instead do not have more will power than you do. They have better habits. So how do you change your habits? You change your habits by making it harder to indulge in bad habits and easier to indulge in good ones. You change your habits by increasing the “start-up” time involved in a bad habit and decreasing the “start-up” time for the good habits. Let me give an example. I keep walking shoes at work. It’s good emergency preparedness but it also means if a friend calls wanting to walk around Green Lake after work, I have no excuse not to. I have effectively shortened the “start-up” time for our walk. I don’t have to drive home (20 minutes) and drive back to the lake (15 minutes). And this makes me more likely to get the exercise. Some people sleep in their workout clothes, making it easy to get up, put shoes on and do it. Want to eat more healthfully and resist the urge to binge on doughnuts? Don’t buy doughnuts. Then if you get the urge to consume sugary snacks, you have made it hard to do: you have get dressed, go to the store, find the sweets, stand in line, etc. Take a moment right now. What bad habit do you want to eliminate or reduce your indulgence in? What three things can you do now to make it harder for your future self to engage in that unwanted behavior? Do you want to watch less television? What could you do to make it harder for your future self to watch TV? Here are some ideas: get rid of cable; move the TV remote into a room far away from the TV; unplug the TV and put it in a closet. If none of these ideas is

Get creative. Now think of ways to decrease the obstacles for a desired behavior to replace the undesired behavior, in this case, TV viewing. For example, if you want to read instead of watch TV, put books (or your Kindle) within arm’s reach of the place you usually sit to watch TV. By making simple changes ahead of time with your rational, planning brain, you are putting supports in place for when you are stressed or tired. When you are stressed or tired, it is harder to make better choices without support already in place. In addition to the environmental changes, it helps to have supportive people in your life. Pessimistic people whose mantra is “people
don’t change” are not the ones you want to be hanging out with as you seek to create change in your life. Right now, think of three people to get in contact with in the next week who have positive, upbeat energy that never fails to rub off on you. Make a plan to talk to each of them in the next week. No need to discuss your plans to make a change in your life. Just revel in the positive energy you feel when you are around them. After you have made some environmental changes (for example, quit stocking your kitchen with bad-for-you foods) and found some optimistic friends, do you still find yourself resistant to eating better, exercising more, or completing the projects on your todo list? Do the things you say that you want to do still feel like shoulds? Your goals may be too ambitious, or you may not be getting enough play time in your life. If you are going from not working out at all to thinking that you will work out every day for an hour, that’s probably too much. Start with smaller goals. Start with the smallest increment that seems doable. Who Transmission Meditation is the most powerful meditation you can do for yourself and for the world.

On the other hand, it may be that you need to give yourself a break from “goals” entirely. You may be lacking play time in your life. Give yourself a vacation from the shoulds and the to-dos and have fun, even if for a few minutes. Make a list right now of things you find fun. Include activities that are free and activities that don’t require a lot of time or planning. Which one can you do today? You don’t need more will power or discipline to accomplish your goals. You need better habits. You get better habits by putting supports in place ahead of time to make good habits easier and bad ones more difficult. Dog Days of Summer As I have shared with you before, I am currently raising a young dog of my own. As I write this, my Robbie, a golden retriever, is getting very close to 10 months old. This is his first summer and there is much for a dog to learn and a dog owner to be aware of during the summer.

As I write this, yesterday was the 4th of July. Although I had a nice invitation to join a great gathering away from home for a BBQ, fun and fireworks, I chose to stay at home with Robbie. Good thing I did as the booms and crackles were much, much closer and louder than I remember in past years. I wore my treat pouch (a fabric pouch that you wear around your waist or attached to your pants that is designed to hold dog treats for training) all day, throughout the evening and into the night. It contained very high value food rewards, Robbie’s favorite three kinds of cheese cubes. Every time a firework went off around us, I did a happy dance/ jolly routine as I said things like “Oh boy, fireworks, oh boy, 4th of July, oh boy, cheese” as I gave Robbie a piece of cheese. The bigger the boom, the more cheese he got. Understand your animal friend

will be easier and easier for him. And, just so you know, next 4th of July I will also be home with my boy. The other summer thing that has crossed our path recently is water, like rivers and lakes. Robbie needs to learn how to swim. Many times it is assumed that dogs just know how to swim but that is not necessarily true. Some do, but many do not. When dogs do not know how to swim, they tend to work way too hard and do not use their rear legs. They splash with their front paws but their rear ends sink. Most often they just need to wear themselves out a bit until they relax in the water, then their rears float up and they realize they can paddle with their hind legs and all is well. You can take your dog to a dog park with swimming (around here Magnuson Park and Marymoor Park come to mind) to learn how to swim. Some will learn from monkey-see, monkey-do, by watching the other dogs do it. Some need their owners to go in with them. Some will learn by chasing a ball or stick into the water. Another trick I learned years ago is that hard dog biscuits float. Walk into the water with your dog and toss a biscuit out a short distance so your dog goes after it. Slower is faster in the long run so try not to push too fast and never force the dog into the water. If you are really having a lot of trouble, you might consider a session at a dog spa where the dog can learn to swim in a warm pool. I really want to take Robbie to the large river we live close to. Robbie loves the water and runs through and plays in the little creeks and streams in the woods around here, plays in a kiddy pool, and chases the hose water, but that is not swimming. The river I am talking about is large, cold, and has strong currents, so caution is necessary with dogs as well as humans. At this point, if and when I take

him there, he will be on a long leash and closely supervised by me. I will not ever even consider giving him off-leash freedom by the river until a number of things have been accomplished. He needs to know how to swim well in a large, calm, body of water. I need to know for sure I can call him off of a major distraction in the water, like ducks or something. I need to be way more familiar with the area beaches at the river and where the safe areas for dogs are. Robbie needs to have and be comfortable wearing a floating device or life preserver. This is an option I did not have years ago with other dogs, but now they are easy to come by and are wellmade. Speaking of that, if you take your dog around the water, be it rivers, lakes or boating, please get your dog a life preserver jacket. If they are wearing one, their chances of survival are so much greater if they are swept away in a current. Never take your dog on a boat trip without a life jacket and make them wear it at all times. I have heard too many stories of people pulling into port and they realize the dog is not on the boat and must have fallen or jumped off during the trip. They have a much better chance of floating until they are found with a life jacket. The jackets have handles on them so if your dog falls overboard, you can bend over and pluck them out of the water, avoiding going in after them. A friend of mine witnessed a situation like this just last week. She saw a dachshund take a header off the bow of a boat. The owner had to jump into the lake after the dog because it was not wearing a life jacket. In addition to wearing a life jacket, I also recommend that the dog be confined or supervised constantly while on the boat. Lastly, please do not swim your dogs around boats. It is just too dangerous. Dogs do not know about propellers and boat drivers most likely will not see your dog or be able to react quickly enough to avoid a tragedy. So, be wise and enjoy the summer with your best friend. Now, I don’t mean the dazzling array of synthetic colors we see in a handful of M&Ms or a bowl of Fruit Loops, but the true, honest-to-goodness natural colors found in the vast spectrum of whole foods: the earthy, deep red of a beet; the vibrant, sunset-orange of a nectarine; the sunshine brilliance of a yellow squash; the lush green of a bundle of spinach; the regal violet of a plump blueberry. I have noticed that much of mainstream eating revolves around the merry-go-round of three colors: yellow, white, and brown. Don’t believe me? Take a moment to think of some popular, traditional breakfast items: Ready-to-eat cereal and milk, French toast, waffles, pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs. All items are yellow, white and/or brown. What is the case for more color? On a scientific level, these natural colors in foods indicate the presence of phytonutrients. We get less than a teaspoon of these plant compounds on a daily basis, but they have a beneficial impact on reducing inflammation, balancing our stress response, and improving our insulin sensitivity. The average American gets about 3.6 servings of fruits and vegetables daily, falling substantially short of the recommended nine servings. In fact, knowing this statistic along with the fact that eight out of 10 Americans fall short in color, I wonder whether we are in a state of “phytonutrient deficiency.” Is one of the reasons for the rapid increase in chronic disease over time due to our lack of color? Perhaps the Mediterranean diet is so successful, in part, because it’s wildly colorful with its daily cornucopia of fresh vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, and spices. On an energetic level, color has everything to do with the vibratory nature of a food. Every color carries with it a unique wavelength, a resonance, or frequency. No one color is better than the other. We may need certain frequencies at certain times more than others. Color is impacted by cooking. When vegetables are overcooked, they become bland. With each shade they

Apricots, butternut squash, cantaloupe, carrots, grapefruit, mangoes, nectarines, oranges, papayas, peaches, persimmons, pumpkin, rutabagas, yellow summer or winter squash, sweet potatoes, tangerines. YELLOW: Solar plexus chakra; wields the fiery power of transformation. Apple (Golden Delicious), Asian pears, bananas, bell peppers, corn, corn-on-the-cob, ginger root, greens, kale, lemon, pineapple, potatoes (Yukon), star fruit. GREEN: Heart chakra; allows for expansion into empathy and compassion. Green apples, artichokes, asparagus, avocados, green beans, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, green cabbage, cucumbers, green grapes, honeydew melon, kiwi, lettuce, limes, green onions, peas, green peppers, spinach, zucchini. AQUAMARINE: Throat chakra; enables authenticity and truth to come through our unique voice. Isn’t it interesting that we do not have aquamarine-colored foods? Here is where we can pause to reflect about how we are taking in these colors and foods through our throat, are we eating mindfully? Are we integrating our senses and all colors in the eating experience? BLUE-PURPLE: Third eye chakra, endows us with wisdom and intuition. Decisions, decisions! From the time we are born we are confronted with decisions. And there are times in our lives when we question our own beliefs, thoughts, or actions. Doubt sets in our mind and scrambles our mindset to bring about confusion and frustration.
You can tackle doubt if you investigate the why behind the doubt, rehearse daily affirmations, find support and create quiet spiritual time. 1. Investigate the Why When you doubt yourself, it’s the perfect time to investigate the reason (the why) behind the doubt. As you explore the reasoning behind the doubt, most of the time one of two things emerges. First, the doubt comes from your ego trying to convince you to walk away from what you want. Ego is notorious for overwhelming you with fear which results in doubt in a decision. The second can be inner guidance or voice trying to tell you something and you aren’t ready to listen. Rehearse Daily Affirmations When you doubt yourself, your thoughts, or your actions, you are listening to the negative talk of others or even of yourself. By devoting to rehearsing positive affirmations about you and the world around you, it will bring you back to a positive place in your thoughts by reminding you of your accomplishments instead of focusing on noise or negativity. 3. Find Support When doubt begins to interfere in our decisionmaking process, sometimes reflecting our thoughts with someone else can help filter out the nonsense of what our ego is telling us or where our fear is coming from inside us. Seek out people, books, and articles that lift you up and support

Our shadow self can’t be conveniently killed off like the villain Zorg in The Fifth Element, a classic movie from the ’90s. In real life we work hard to suppress it, instead. But rather than becoming a fabulous diva as a result (like the movie’s famous singer, “Platalaguna”), some of what lies in shadow, our flaws and wounds, secret shame and negative selftalk, undermine our voice. And yet, healing our shadow is surprisingly simple:

When you apply love by respecting your shadow self and letting it live with dignity, rather than running amok as you might fear, it turns into what it is meant to be: A healthy part of you that can power your voice. In the movie, there is an evil to overcome: a black fireball, threatening to devour the planet with the aid of Zorg. The Fifth Element, an alien angel, named Leeloo, falls to earth, crashlanding inside the protagonist’s flying taxi. She has been sent to save the world and Zorg tries to stop her. In a poetic plot twist, Leeloo despairs of humanity after viewing archived war footage. It is her subsequent depression that derails her, not Zorg. When the protagonist,
Korben Dallas, finds pure true love for her in his heart, she regains her will and saves the day. In the movie, adversity is no match for true love. And neither is it in real life. No matter our shortcomings and hurts, or actions of the past, our love will transform us. And, conversely, it is not life that derails us, as it was not Zorg who stopped Leeloo; our response to it is the determining factor. I have a little note on my bathroom mirror, “How can I apply love here?” It reminds me that abusing my shadow over what I find unacceptable in myself is exactly like the volleys launched into the movie’s fireball of evil; it absorbs the

destructive energy and grows bigger. Our shadow, too, gets bigger when attacked; but fortunately it is not an alien come to destroy us, and we are not tasked with defeating it. According to the analyst Carl Jung, shadow contains our dreams and potential and everything we consciously or unconsciously reject in ourselves. Untended-to, it becomes the source of our suffering. The compassionate question, “How can I apply love here?” opens an inner dialogue for understanding and healing. When we love our shadow while affirming and aligning with our own inner angel – a kind of spiritual or humanistic passion at the heart of every human
being, represented by Leeloo in the movie – no matter how alien that may feel at first, we become whole again. The philosopher Joseph Campbell, whose ideas made their way into film schools everywhere, said mythology is the interface between us and the transcendent. Today movies are built along the mythological story arc and peopled with characters that represent the archetypes. You can witness the hero’s journey, and the role shadow plays within it, in most movies, including The Fifth Element. But you don’t have to go to the movies to find them. You can meet the shadow archetype within yourself. The particulars vary from person to person. I met my shadow and it was a giant-sized eagle trying to
exchange between you and the clients you want to attract. Know that what you have to offer is important to a lot of people and that the sacred energy created in the exchange – you delivering your services or your products and your clients happily receiving and benefiting from the exchange – will create even more sacred energy that will get passed on to others in many forms. Know that your clients will work with you because they know, like, and trust you. Be aware that you have been placed on this planet to deliver something of such importance that only you can do it in the way that you do and that your clients are attracted to you because they know you are the only one that can fill their needs in the
unique way that you do. Let these thoughts infuse your marketing and know that whatever you create will be perfect for attracting just the right kind of client to your business. 6. Express gratitude for your work. At the end of your work session, take a few moments to be grateful for having the skills, the abilities, and knowledge that only you possess; be grateful for all the people who are already enjoying what you offer, and be grateful for all of those who have not yet come to you. Be grateful that they are already on their way and that your interactions will be blessed and perfect. By following these simple steps you will, in time, come to find that marketing your

The Birth We Call Death By Admir Serrano
Before we incarnated into this physical body, we lived in the spirit world, a non-physical dimension permeating this universe. There we lived among other spirits who are part of our spiritual family and friends on the other side of life. Many are still there, and many others followed us to earthly life and became our brothers, sisters, spouses, children, grandchildren, or other relatives and friends on this side. When it came time to leave the spirit world to embark on this earthly journey, we departed that life; we passed away from that world, so to speak. We left our spiritual family and friends behind, as well as the mode of life we were then living. In a sense, we died to that world so that we could be born in this one. But we did not cease to exist. Our spiritual family and friends did not cry our loss because they knew we had only changed one mode of living for another, from the spirit life to the physical life; they also knew that we would one day reunite. The spirit body we used to function in the spirit world was – still is – immortal and imperishable. But the physical body we now have is perishable and mortal. However, we still have an immortal and imperishable spirit body, the same we had before we came to earth. And this spirit body will survive our physical death and will continue living in the spirit world afterwards. And when physical death occurs we will take the journey back home, from whence we all came. Our physical remains will be buried or cremated, and our image will disappear from the sight of our loved
ones, but we in our spirit body will reappear, once again, to our loved ones who remained in- or returned before us to the spirit world. People who love us here will be sad to see us go, but those on the other side who love us will be happy to see us back. What we must keep in mind is that death never do us part, it only separates us temporarily, and we will reunite. We, as immortal spirit that we are, never stop living; we only change modes of living, a time incarnate other discarnate, according to the lessons we need to learn or to teach during physical life. What we call death is really a birth in reverse. Our body dies and we, in our spirit body, rise out of it, unscathed and with all our mental faculties and identity intact. Our dead body is then laid to rest and our image disappears from the sight of our incarnate fellows; and we, in our spirit body, reappear to the sight of the discarnate ones waiting for us on the other side of life. The late American author and clergyman Henry van Dyke summarized this rebirth process beautifully in a poem entitled Gone From my Sight: I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!” “Gone where?” Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear the load of living freight to her destined port. Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!” There are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout: “Here she comes!” And that is dying. Physical death is a natural phenomenon, we all know it; we also know that one day it will catch up with us. Nonetheless fear, despair, and anger tend to wreak havoc in our lives when our own death or that of a loved one becomes imminent. Such tumultuous reaction may be because we cannot yet feel in the core of our being our true spiritual essence, an essence
that is immortal, an essence that contains our individuality and which is capable of surviving physical death. Thus we believe that the last heartbeat, the last breath that shuts down our material body, also shuts down our consciousness, erasing the awareness of what we are, plunging us into an eternal abyss of nonexistence. And this is indeed a bleak contemplation. But when we understand that we are immortal beings and that physical life is a temporary journey in an eternal continuum of existence, that when we close our physical eyes we will awake in a greater reality, surrounded by the loved ones we thought had vanished forever, life gains a new meaning. We begin to understand that there is such greatness within each one of us we never imagined possible, a force so mysteriously powerful that reduces to insignificance all the troubles that may be saddening this marvelous experience we all came here to enjoy. Even death, once feared as the extermination of our life, will lose its sting as we come – not to believe – but to know that it will not annihilate our existence. On the contrary, we will understand that all bodily death does is free us, the spiritual being we truly are, from the bonds of matter. And once free, we return to the spirit world we all hailed from to continue our evolutionary journey, and there we will stay until our own consciousness beacons us to return to physical life once again for another round of learning and growth. Life gets easier and easier, and as a result, clarity and commitment to the silence become absolute and effortless. Our being has never been serious, even when we were. All things that move us away from what we are – such as self-absorbed thinking – are because of this habit. Being aware of this habit of thinking can be very liberating. Just stop it and learn to laugh at yourself and remember: Seriousness is not a commitment. Commitment leads to freedom, seriousness leads away from it. Are you serious? Are you frowning right now? Turn your frown upside down. If you want to have joy in your life, you need stop being so serious. Despite what you may have heard, there is no other way around this. If you want freedom, there is no quicker path than this. In fact, by not taking things seriously, all good in life starts to happen spontaneously the instant we turn that frown upside down. I am not promoting acting silly, walking around with purple underwear on your head. It is not about what you do; it’s about the attitude you have that truly makes a difference. Attitude is everything in this game of freedom. Seriousness has become the foundation of modern society, this is obvious, and just have a look around. This is not tragic but a great comedy and source of amusement for our foundation of being. Seriousness is very funny when seen with clarity, and once you see it you will have a hard time not laughing, trust me. Life becomes a non-stop invitation to laugh. Of course nobody thinks it’s funny;
this will just make you laugh even harder. In fact, there might be so much joy that you forget the reason for it. When this uncaused joy is permanent, this is freedom. The real tragedy is that the bad attitude experienced by and through “the world” has become common on the spiritual path. It has no place to be here at all, yet here it is. No one at heart really wants to be serious; they just can’t seem to stop. It is just so ingrained in the way we approach everything. It is a habit we have been trained in. Having a joyful practice that helps us to take life lightly is important if we want to see through this addiction. When we sit down to meditate we “seriously” try to still the mind. When we have intense emotions, we get “serious” about them. The list is endless. We keep trying and trying and the cycle continues. What many do not realize is that not taking things seriously and waking up to our true nature is exactly the same thing. The question is, how do I do that? It’s worth finding out how. Find out for the joy of it. You can make a game of it. You can try to wear purple underwear on your head, though I am not familiar with the success rate of that particular practice. Can you imagine a life where joy is the foundation and all of the events – good or bad – come and go without the usual drama? This is the beginning of real life. In the world it is believed that seriousness

is unavoidable and necessary, but this is simply not true. By discovering the silence we start to see that we are wrong about this. Thank God, Buddha, and Baby Jesus that we are wrong and have it all backwards. Can you imagine if enlightenment was serious? Why would you want it? In fact, the seriousness with which we have approached freedom is seen to be completely unnecessary and even harmful to our overall well-being. It is far better for you to smoke cigarettes than to be serious! Simply put “Not Taking Things Seriously” or (NTTS) is both the goal and the path of true spirituality. There is no peace, joy, or fulfillment with seriousness. Enlightenment is absolutely impossible with seriousness. I am being completely serious here. A little exploration of the silence will reveal this fact. Awareness of stillness, which is our true self, is already allowing everything, all the time. This is true now even as you read these words. This sitting back and allowingness of the silence used to make me angry when I was self-absorbed in “my” drama. I would shout out (in my mind), “Hello, do you not care that I am suffering here?” No answer, damn it. It just sits there not caring about me or doing anything to help. The question is, why do I take everything so seriously when the source of life does not? Why not learn to live like the source of life? Our being is already having all the fun and we are missing out because we “think” we are
a separate and serious person. This is the cosmic joke. By being aware of just how serious we are, we can start to break free from this nasty habit. If we start to approach our path with awareness and the intention to take things lightly, we open up to the infinite that is always available. Anytime we notice this seriousness we can use that as an invitation to laugh and enjoy the silence instead of thinking. Seriously.
