Warriors hope to get back to .500 with win By Zac Lupica and Miranda Rios arrior boys basketball team members are looking to rebound after a disappointing last-second loss to Sioux City, Iowa, East Friday as they host cityrival O’Gorman tonight at WHS. The varsity team will take the floor at 7 p.m. tonight in the main gym. Games start at 4 p.m. with the JV and freshmen and continue with the sophomores at 5:30 p.m. Tonight’s fun will also feature the WHS pep band and the season’s first appearance by the Highstepper dance team at halftime of the varsity game. Sophomore Cole Benson said he feels like the Warriors are prepared. “Last Friday’s game motivated us to practice hard all week,” Benson said. “I think tonight’s game will be a good match-up for us and a chance to see how we match-up against another Sioux Falls school.” The Warrior boys currently stand at 3-4 on the season and look to reach the .500 mark tonight with a win. O’Gorman is currently 5-3.
