LEGAL NOTICE NOTICEANNOUNCEMENTS TO PROPOSERS TRANSPORTATION
The Atlanta Independent School District (AISD) will be accepting Competitive Sealed Proposals (CSP) for the construction of A New Middle School Athletics Field House Building to be located on the campus of Atlanta Middle School in Atlanta, TX. The construction will consist of a 5,272 square foot pre-engineered metal building with concrete block walls and partitions. Selection of the General Contractor will be in compliance with the provisions of the Texas Education Code Section 44.039. Proposals are to include the information requested in the sequence and format prescribed in the “Instruction to Bidders”. Elaborate brochures or other presentations beyond those sufficient to present a complete and effective response to this solicitation are not desired. Competitive Sealed Proposals will be received in the Atlanta I.S.D. Administration Building, located at 106 W. Main Street, Atlanta, TX 75551, until 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 14, 2012. All proposals received after that time will be returned unopened. At this time the District will receive, publicly open, and read aloud the names and the monetary amounts of each proposal. Within forty five (45) days after the date of opening the District may interview and shall evaluate, and rank each proposal based on the published selection criteria and ranking evaluation as outlined in the “Instruction to Proposers”. The District will select the Proposer that submits the proposal that offers the best value for the District based solely on the published selection criteria and on its ranking evaluation. Questions concerning this request shall be directed to Mr. Sidney Harrist, at Atlanta I.S.D. All primary proposers must attend a Pre-Proposal Meeting at the proposed building site on the campus of Atlanta Middle School in Atlanta, Texas at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 to be eligible to submit a proposal for this project and to receive Proposal Documents. Primary Proposers may obtain up to three printed copies of the Proposal Documents and/or one CD containing the Proposal Documents in PDF format. A deposit of $100.00 is required for each set of printed set of Proposal Documents requested. The deposit for printed material will be refunded when they are returned in good condition within 14 days of the proposal date. A CD containing the Proposal Documents may be purchased for $20.00 (not refunded). Make checks payable to Atlanta I.S.D. Primary Proposers who wish to obtain printed or CD copies of the Proposal Documents at the Pre-Proposal Meeting must notify the Architect by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday May 24,2012 so documents can be reproduced prior to the Pre-Proposal Meeting. A cashier’s check, certified check or a bidder’s bond issued by a surety company authorized to do business in the state of Texas payable to Atlanta I.S.D. in an amount not less than 5% of the bid, shall accompany each proposal as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the proposer will promptly enter into a contract and execute such bonds as may be required. No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of forty five (45) days subsequent to the opening on proposals without the consent of the Owner. Atlanta ISD reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive any formalities or technicalities, and award the proposal in order to best serve the interest of the District.
