Church World Service Rocky Hill, New Jersey This position assists the Associate Regional Director in accomplishing the fund raising and education goals of the Resource Development Program of Church World Service in an assigned area of the New Jersey/New York Metro Region. The positions that report to the Director of Education and Programs are: Gallery Director and Curator, Coordinator of Education, Vocation and Programs including the Generations Program. Other areas of responsibility include Arts Unbound Artists and Volunteers. This position is responsible for the planning and delivery of all education and artistic programs, workshops, outreach programs, and oversees the coordination of the entire education/artistic department. This position has a key role in the expansion of Arts Unbound's education and artistic programming.

Internal Operations Responsibilities The Director of Education and Programs drives the artistic vision of the organization through the development of programs that support the strategic direction of Arts Unbound set forth by the Executive Director and Board of Directors. This position manages the Arts Unbound brand, assists in the creation of budgets, monitoring of those budgets and supervises, coordinates with and oversees activities related to staff members specifically tasked with educational, vocational and gallery program implementation. In addition, the Director of Education and Programs co-authors and manages a marketing plan that promotes artists and artist work using a wide range of both traditional and social media tools and strategies. The Director of Education and Programs will hold weekly staff meetings to follow up on the status of projects, classes, issues, budgets, etc. that impact internal operations and report to the Executive Director about project and grant status to ensure the grant monitoring

system is always current and bring to the attention of the Executive Director and others when programs and/or grants are off schedule. The Director of Education and Programs represents, if the Executive Director is unable to attend or as requested, Arts Unbound at conferences, community organizations and events hosted by agency partners to build alliances and grow awareness of Arts Unbound throughout the state. After attending these meetings a summary of how Arts unbound is impacted by this event will be sent to the Executive Director and other staff as necessary for action to be taken as follow up to the meeting. Gallery Programs

This position plans and oversees implementation of all gallery openings, tours and artist talks. It provides ADA compliant and accessible exhibition signage, labels, artist biographies and other exhibition materials. This position coordinates with the Gallery Director to establish an annual exhibition calendar that meets agency requirements to support gallery artists, emerging and student artists, grantors and fee-for-service clients. Coordinating with the gallery director and curator of gallery exhibits this position assures that the standards of submission and quality are achieved. The Director of Education and Programs coordinates with partner-agencies for on -site and off-site exhibitions and plans and implements Friends of Arts Unbound fundraising exhibition and related events with Gallery Director.

Education Programs

The Director of Education and Programs supervises the Coordinator of Education (class coordinators and artist teachers) in the development of art educational programs for Arts Unbound and partner-agencies, including curriculum development for fee-for-service and grant-funded art classes. This position oversees artistic direction of educational and vocational programming and curriculum. ( development skills and strategic planning ability are important). The Director of Education and Programs seeks new partnerships and builds on existing partnerships with agencies in New Jersey to expand educational

programs. This position is also responsible for the Generations Program (classes, gallery exhibits, etc.) for senior artists enrolled in the Generations Program classes.

Vocational Programs

The Director of Education and Programs provides artist development services through mentoring and coaching, portfolio development and arts business classes that help Arts Unbound artists to market themselves. Seek and establish new earnings opportunities for student, emerging and professional artists living with disabilities in the Arts Unbound organization through a variety of art markets.

Artists The Director of Education and Programs oversees the relationship and development of artists with Arts Unbound and, coordinating with the Gallery Director and Curator, oversees events to ensure all artists adhere to standards of quality and submission policies of works of art for gallery events. Additionally this position communicates with the artists and their families the contractual requirements including compensation/payment guidelines. This position strives to recruit new artists through open calls and agency partnerships.
