NMW - JUNE 14, 2013

Vol. 15 Issue 5

There would not be much of a Summer without music. We drive to the beach and work listening to it and it’s a part of our evening dinners and celebrations just about everywhere we go. This is the time of year most music acts hit the road to entertain as the kids are out of school, people are on vacation and it’s “time to party”. Many independent artists find this the best time to load up the van, truck or car to play smaller shows, and to visit radio and fans. With the weather being at its best it seems travel is in the cards and the rush is on to pull in those last minute ticket sales. Here at New Music Weekly we can already feel the heat as the music is exploding from coast to coast. Just look at the charts in this issue. Musically this time of year is good for everybody. A few decades ago it seemed that the only one in charge of summer entertainment was Jimmy Buffet. That was until the likes of Kenny Chesney and Toby Keith realized that this was a tour and merchandising opportunity. With a number of summer party songs and tour party packages, many other artists started making Summer a major music event. From stadiums, clubs to the outdoor amphitheaters, acts from Country to pop are raking it in big time this time of year. Every summer there is that big-time Summer Song. This year that might belong to the Swedish band Icona Pop. Not since Abba have we seen such a buzz for an outfit from that territory. Their “I Love It” is already Top 5 around the world and you will no doubt be hearing it at every beach party during the summer of 2013. They started setting the record up with a SXSW debut and they have been on-fire ever since. In Country we have Top 5 hits from Brad Paisley in “Beat This Summer”, to Blake Shelton’s “Boys ‘Round Here” that are taking charge of that format for this party time of year. This is also the breakout summer for the independent artist and band. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis recently hit #1 on the pop charts with “Can’t Hold Us” released and distributed on a small Indie label. This outfit based out of the Seattle area is now able to command top dollars at festivals and concerts around the globe. The same can be said about recent chart toppers from the Lumineers to Mumford & Sons. These acts came out of nowhere and are now bringing in top tour dollars. They stared just like every other band by working hard and hitting the road whenever they had the chance. The Russians are coming, the Russians are coming! For well over four decades we’ve been hearing about the British music invasion. This summer we might be hearing about a Russian music invasion. The band Pompeya first hit the charts at New Music Weekly a month ago and they are now breaking on the Mediabase and Billboard Top40 charts with their debut “YAHTBMF” (Noshame). Russian beauty Alina Artts has been interviewing American movie and pop stars on red carpets around the world but is now she’s set to reverse the cameras. “Hit The Red Light” (R.E.C.) is already getting critical acclaim from radio programmers and music critics alike, so be on the watch as the Russian music scene explodes all over the world and here in the U.S.A. As an artist or band there is still time to catch some of the magic of the summer but you must move fast. The major label artists and tour packages are pretty much wrapped and there are many holes in the schedule. Here at New Music Weekly we are set and ready to help out all of the start-up artists and bands. Please make sure you contact us this week as our Future Hits music sampler is about to close. We will continue to offer the best “tools of the trade” to break and make this your best Summer ever.

They are the harmony-based trio. Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood make up this amazing success story. There first arena run as a headlining act, during the band’s Own The Night World Tour were inspirational. But so was the time offstage. Lady A made a point of experimenting and creating with its road band as the one-nighters and the miles of travel piled up. That behind-thescenes interaction inspired much of the music on Golden, an instantly infectious project in which Lady A discovered new edges for its already-successful foundation. “Every band I love that’s been here for a long time has reinvented itself in some way,” Kelley says. “There’s a balance to it. I get a little annoyed when people reinvent themselves too much because there’s a reason people fell in love with you in the first place, but I think it’s important not to regurgitate the same stuff over and over again. Since its 2006 inception, the group had risen quickly to become Country Music’s most influential current group. Lady A won the Vocal Group of the Year honor from both the Country Music Association and from the Academy of Country Music three times in a row. Eight of the band’s singles went gold, with four – “American Honey,” “Need You Now,” “Just A Kiss” and “I Run To You” – surpassing the platinum mark. “Need You Now” went on to sell over seven million downloads, according to the RIAA. Additionally, “Need You Now” claimed five of the trio’s seven career Grammy wins in 2011, including the all-genre Record and Song of the Year. The group has performed on all the major television shows, including Saturday Night Live, Oprah, the Grammys, The Voice, and most every other daytime and late night program on network television. All of us at New Music Weekly wish the fabulous Lady A continued success and you’ll be seeing a lot more of them in our future issues to be sure. 3

There is no artist hotter at radio than Bruno Mars. He’s now taking the single “Treasure” (Atlantic/WEA) out for a drive and it’s already breaking fast. Watch for some big weeks ahead on this one. Sean Kingston has a single out with some major potential. “Beat It” (Epic/Sony) is getting major approval from our panel of music and program directors, a sign that something brilliant is about to happen. Kelly Clarkson continues to amaze us at radio and she keeps her long streak of hits alive and well with the new “People Like Us” (RCA/RLG). The American Idol family has to be thrilled as it appears she is their biggest chart success story so far. You can bet there is still more to come from her. Robin Thicke finally has a huge Top40 hit record on his hands. He’s getting some help from recording stars Pharrell & TI but it’s only helping to take “Blurred Lines” (Star Trak/Interscope) to many great heights. Rihanna is back with David Guetta for yet another dance/radio masterpiece. “Right Now” (DefJam) is a hit out of the box and you can expect many great things to happen with this stellar team. Anna Kendrick is also getting some love at the format with the release of “Cups” (Republic/Universal/Mercury). One of the best Summer songs so far has to go to Daft Punk. They have teamed up with Pharrell Williams for the clever and infectious “Get Lucky” (Daft Life/Columbia). This song is coming up ever three hours in Los Angeles at KIIS/FM, a sign that a big record is exploding. This one you can’t get out of your head even if you try. The Stafford Brothers have teamed up with Lil Wayne & Christine Milian for a real treat. “Hello” (Cash Money/Motown) is the jam that is moving faster than a speeding bullet. Maroon 5 might have one of the best songs since “Moves Like Jagger”. Their latest single “Love Somebody” (Octone/A&M) really hits all the right notes for a single that could have a major impact over the coming weeks. Florida Georgia Line seems to have made the right moves teaming up with Nelly. Together they are taking the “Cruise Remix” (Republic Nashville) out for a spin and the results have been amazing. Fantasia is back at the format and we love to see that. “Without Me” (RCA/RLG) is her latest and it once again underscores what an amazing vocalist she is. We wish her the best with this gem. Sara Bareilles is back with a hit that is crossing formats. “Brave” (Epic/Sony) is het latest and greatest. Newcomer Alina Artts is getting raves for her debut single. “Hit The Red Light” (R.E.C.) is the track that our music and program directors are supporting in strong numbers. Phillip Phillips is pulling in some impressive numbers for his “Gone, Gone, Gone” (19/Interscope). The band Ozicely is off to a very impressive start. Their debut single “UP2U” (Symphonic) has been rocking our “most added” chart for several weeks now. Ed Sheeran is also keeping pace with the best of them with his “Lego House” (Asylum/WB). Frank D’Angelo is making some rather impressive moves with his new “Dreamer” (B.K.C.I.) single. Be on the watch for a film starring Frank and featuring his music set for release over the Summer. The band Pompeya is taking the radio world by storm as their “YAHTBMF” (Noshame) takes flight. Matt Backer is breaking wide open at radio as his “Let’s Art” (Right Records) single explodes. Dan Exactly has having a stellar run with “Two Left Feet” (Wooden Jazz). Bill Songy is closing in on the top spot with his amazing “Those Days Are Gone” (Franzia) & Marsha Jewell moves closer as “Ragged Angel” (Jewell Lane) builds strong. Be on the watch for newcomer Zack Dust. He’s set to release an amazing new album entitled Justice. It features his debut single “Good Morning California” that is nothing short of brilliant. I’ll have more good news for you next time right here.

One of the best new bands out there at AC radio is Paramore. They showcase their talents in a very big way as their new “Still Into You” (Fueled By Ramen) takes flight. Of Monsters And Men are also making some bold and powerful moves at radio. The new “Mountain Sound”(Universal Republic) pulls them right out of the “one hit wonder” category. I’m so thrilled to see Eric Clapton back at radio. He does it better than most and with the latest track “Every Little Thing” (Bushbranch/Surfdog). You can be sure that will be seeing and hearing a lot more from the legendary Eric Clapton in the weeks and months to come. Train has teamed up with recording artist Ashley Monroe with a solid winner. The single “Bruises” (Columbia/Sony) is getting rave reviews and spins from our music and program directors. Mariah Carey has teamed up with Miguel for one of her best singles in years. The cut “Beautiful” (Island/UMG) is ever so good and should make its way to the top of the charts in record time. It’s too bad that Miguel had to pull that stunt on the Billboard Music Awards. I just hope that it doesn’t hurt this amazing record. Sara Bareilles is a real talent that deserves your continued support. “Brave” (Epic/Sony) is her latest offering and it underscores just what an amazing vocal talent this artist has. Those Fall Out Boys are back at it. “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark” (Island) is a real cleaver jam and make sure to throw a few extra spins in for it this week. Matchbox 20 is also back and getting spins for “Our Song” (Atlantic/WEA). Maroon 5 has another masterpiece on their hands with “Love Somebody” (Octone/A&M). Pitbull has teamed up with Christina Aguilera. Together they make beautiful music with the duet hit entitled “Feel This Moment” (Mr 305/Polo Grounds/RCA). I also really love the new Ed Sheeran single “Lego House” (Asylum/WB). This follow-up to his huge hit “The A Team” puts him on track to be the recording star that he should be. Pompeya is rocking the radio world with a solid debut hit single. “YAHTBMF” (Noshame) has been off to an explosive start and the best is yet to come. Their debut performance at the Roxy in Los Angeles let many industry professionals and fans know just how amazing and talented these four guys are. Rihanna is having a solid run on the AC40 with her brilliant “Stay” (DefJam/IDJMG). Alina Artts is also a solid “break out” with her stellar debut single “Hit The Red Light” (R.E.C.). Watch for some big weeks ahead for this amazing female vocalist. Demi Lovato is breaking fast with her new radio hit. “Heart Attack” (Hollywood). The new band Ozicely is taking the radio world by storm. “UP2U” (Symphonic) is the gem that is fast becoming a real favorite with our programmers. Matt Backer is breaking fast with his amazing “Let’s Art” (Right) single. Frank D’Angelo has a brilliant new single entitled “Dreamer” (B.K.C.I.). All you have to do is look at this weeks “most added” chart to see how hot this record is. Bill Songy continues his #1 ways with “Those Days Are Gone” (Franzia) and Marsha Jewell is only one step behind with her brilliant “Ragged Angel” (Jewell Lane). Stu Wright from WORG was one of the radio guys to meet up with American Idol winner Candice Glover during her hometown visit in Beaufort, SC aka St Helena Island. Turns out they both went to the same High School together but 36 years apart. Stu is a great guy who suffers from Neurofibromatosis (NF1). Last month was NF recognition month. Check out CTF.org, that’s the Children’s Tumor Foundation for more on this disability. We wish him the best. I’ll have more for you next time right here.

ALL ROADS

LEAD TO NASHVILLE If you’re a musician, at some point, the city of Nashville will be in your plans. Music City USA has earned its namesake. For decades, aspiring young, and not so young country artists have packed up all of their belongings and moved to the birthplace of country music as we all know it. A few were overnight successes. It took others a while to make a splash. And still others found odd jobs and waited years, and finally got their break. While it’s true not everybody that sets out to become a country superstar makes the grade- in fact, it’s hard to be considered in the Nashville elite as an “A” lister- that doesn’t stop many from finding out what all the fuss is about. Nashville is still country music’s home. But it’s quickly becoming the home for artists of all genres to see, and be seen. There is one particular area that Nashville is successful in keeping traditional, and deems it important enough every year to draw radio station programmers and music directors to the city. Sure, it’s a party to some extent, but the Country Radio Seminar- CRS- is not duplicated anywhere in the country by any other radio format. There’s a lot to be said about your country music superstar. I take notice and pride in the fact that when an artist wins an award, more times than not, they will 16

thank RADIO as part of being their success. Country artists take the time to talk to stations, and in turn their audience base, and make them feel like they’re part of the family. Because, really, the listener is to the true country music artist. And vice versa. That’s why radio stations like the legendary WSM are known worldwide. Country programmers mingle with artists and attend seminars each year that both inform and entertain. Networking is everything. And it is much easier now than ever before to network and never spend a dime on hotels, meals, and functions. But then, you miss out on the true meaning of CRS. Shaking hands. Have a beverage. Share ideas. No matter WHAT you do in life, it’s always better to try and do it in person. CRS has never lost touch with that human element. CRS brings all together once a year to place a face with the name. Many programmers have gone for years. Many go one year, and move on, and never go again. Same with promoters and record label personnel. But truth be told, CRS is really a must-attend function for programmers, and artists, too. Showcases for new artists are months in the planning for a one hour set to grab somebody’s attention. It’s not by fluke that the Grammy awards named a country crossover hit, “Need You Now” by Lady Antebellum, as the song of the year. This multi-format hit had a hook that was unforgettable and all of us could relate to that one person that we really “needed” at some point in our life. Country is real. Country is home. Country is roots. Most, if not all that attend every year, leave with those sentiments. And a sad realization that it will be another year before we all come together again.

MUSIC BIZ Paris Jackson wants no lawsuit Paris Jackson reportedly wants to be completely removed from her family’s on-going lawsuit against AEG Live. The 15-year-old daughter of late singer Michael Jackson is listed as a plaintiff along with her brothers Prince and Blanket Jackson in a suit filed against the concert promotion corporation. Paris’ legal guardian-andgrandmother Katherine Jackson initiated the proceedings, claiming AEG Live caused Michael’s death by ‘pressuring him to prepare for his 2009 comeback concerts, despite his fragile health’. The complaint also blames the company for hiring Conrad Murray, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the King of Pop’s 2009 death from acute Propofol intoxication. Paris and her older brother Prince are both on the witness list and apparently this is causing lots of stress for the troubled teenager, who attempted suicide last week. ‘Paris says she absolutely wants no part of wrongful death lawsuit,’ a source told Radar Online. ‘She doesn’t want to be a plaintiff anymore and certainly doesn’t want to testify. ‘She went along with it because she knew it was important to Katherine. Paris feels there is only one person responsible for her father’s death, Conrad Murray.’ It is rumoured that the lawsuit had a big part in making the teenager want to take her own life. ‘This trial has made Paris’ life hell because of cyber bullying and she has been bombarded with negative media reports about Michael,’ the insider revealed. Her brother Prince apparently ‘very much wants to testify’. ‘Michael relied on Prince as a trusted adviser when he was alive. Michael consulted Prince about major business decisions, and he would often accompany his dad to meetings,’ the source said. ‘Prince is wise beyond his years and does feel that AEG was responsible for his dad’s death. Prince has a totally different viewpoint and opinion than Paris because he was his dad’s right hand.’ The Jacksons want compensation of $40 billion from AEG Live. The business denies any wrongdoing. TMZ has obtained the 911 call placed following Paris’ suicide attempt to the Los Angeles County Fire Department by the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Department. Authorities on the scene communicated that Paris “OD’d on 20 Motrin [Ibuprofen] and cut her arm with a kitchen knife’. Sheriff’s Department authorities revealed she was ‘awake and breathing’ when paramedics arrived to the Jackson family’s Calabasas, California, home. Paris is now undergoing medical treatment at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, the same hospital where her father Michael passed away.

Psy: I don’t have YouTube obsession

Psy doesn’t watch his YouTube stats obsessively. The South Korean star earned the Guinness World Record for the most watched YouTube video ever with his single NMW - JUNE 14, 2013

Gangnam Style. Psy released his follow-up single Gentleman in April. The combined views for the promos of both tracks on the video-sharing site have reached nearly two billion. Although he is very aware of his huge international success, Psy chooses not to become caught up with statistics. ‘Well sometimes yes [I check my views] sometimes no,’ he told BBC News. ‘Right after releasing [my singles] I’m checking for honestly [a] couple weeks, like, ‘Oh, oh, oh,’ and then after that I’m moving on to other things.’ In the past year Psy’s career has exploded. He has been on the move since Gangnam Style hit airwaves last July and hasn’t had time to allow his achievements to sink in. ‘Unfortunately [my success has not yet registered] because you know I didn’t have any chance to take a rest,’ Psy explained. ‘Hopefully Gentleman’s promotion is done by June so July and August I can fulfil [on relaxation] for the first time.’ The star has the opportunity to collaborate with a number of A-list musicians. Although he is rumoured to be working on a track with Beyoncé Knowles in the future, Psy isn’t sure whether or not that will happen. ‘That’s gonna be more than an honour, but I don’t know because I sometimes parody her [performances] such as Single Ladies, but that’s just for fun, [it’s] not beautiful like hers. My dancing, female dance, is kind of nasty,’ he laughed.

Bieber security choked photographer?

A photographer who is suing Justin Bieber accused his bodyguard of ‘choking him to take his stuff’ in a frantic 911 call. The pop star’s security team member allegedly strangled Jeffrey Binion during an altercation to protect his privacy. In a voice recording of the phone call made to police, the man trying to obtain pictures of Justin explained how he was assaulted. ‘He was choking me to take my stuff,’ he told a female emergency line worker in the clip obtained by TMZ. ‘I don’t need rescuing.’ Apparently four males were the aggressors who were reported outside The Hit Factory recording studio in Miami, Florida. The incident against Jeffrey Binion place last Wednesday and he has since filed a lawsuit. ‘Two big security guards and two young boys,’ he described them as at the time. ‘I’ve got a lady here that witnessed. ‘The guy was strangling me I want to press charges on him.’ While they apparently threatened to smash Jeffrey’s camera, they ended up taking part of his work equipment. However Jeffrey is placing some of the blame on Justin as he is said to have organised the 4am attack. ‘They took my camera they made me delete pictures and then they took the memory card which is worth $100,’ he explained to the 911 call operator. In another audio recording, the 19year-old can be heard encouraging a theft. In an expletive-filled rant, Justin’s request led to the photographer begging for his belongings to be returned. “Get that f**king

camera out of here!” a voice identified as Justin’s yelled. ‘Alright, alright. I’m gonna give you your camera back. I’m gonna take your SIM card though,’ he added. He was later signed to a label by singer Usher.Justin has grown up in the spotlight since the age of 12 after YouTube videos him singing covers went viral. Mumford & Sons bassist suffers blood clot

Mumford & Sons have cancelled a series of shows after bassist Ted Dwane was hospitalised with a blood clot on the brain. The British indie folk group were forced to postpone headline concerts in the US on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday following Ted’s “emergency treatment”. The band, fronted by Marcus Mumford, made the announcement on their official website earlier today. “Our friend and bandmate Ted has been feeling unwell for a few days, and yesterday he was taken to a hospital to receive emergency treatment. The scans revealed a blood clot on the surface of his brain that requires an operation. Ted is receiving excellent care and we are being assured that he will recover quickly from surgery,” read the statement. “Sadly we have to postpone three upcoming headline shows planned for this week in Dallas on Tuesday 6/11, Woodlands on Wednesday 6/12, and New Orleans on Thursday 6/13. All dates will be rescheduled and will be announced as soon as we can; all tickets for this week’s events will be honoured at their rescheduled dates.” Mumford & Sons insist they are not planning to cancel or postpone any other dates on their tour, which will take them to countries including Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia and Japan. They went on to wish their bandmate Ted a “speedy recovery”. The group are currently touring to showcase their hugely success second album Babel, which topped charts all over the world when it was released last year.

Kevin Jonas: TV show is like counseling

Kevin Jonas says his TV show is like having a “24/7 marriage counsellor”. The singer stars in reality series Married to Jonas, which follows his and wife Danielle Deleasa’s every move. With most arguments captured on camera, Kevin likes to learn from past mistakes by watching episodes back. “There are definitely moments where you wanna turn the cameras off and be like, ‘Wait a minute, I don’t necessarily want this on TV!’ And moments where you think, ‘Wow, I was quite a jerk in that,’” he confessed to Australian radio show Kyle and Jackie O. “It’s like having a marriage counsellor with you 24/7! [I] watch them back and any argument you can say things you don’t mean and you get irritated.” Kevin met Danielle while on holiday in

The Bahamas in 2007. Despite initially not being interested, the former hairdresser eventually fell for the singer. “It was a fluke moment where I tried to schmooze her, [but] she wanted nothing to do with me. She wanted off-time from the boys. I was ready to go right there!” he laughed. “At the time we met, [the Jonas Brothers] hadn’t really done anything yet; she didn’t even know who the Jonas Brothers were!” Kevin makes up a third of the band with his siblings Joe and Nick. Unlike other stars who found fame early in life, the 25-yearold and his brothers have remained on the straight and narrow. “Yeah, obviously with the wrong direction and things around you that aren’t the best, you can see some of the greatest people who turn into someone else,” he said of stars less fortunate than himself. “It’s hard to judge what’s happening.”

Ed Sheeran: Taylor pranked me

Ed Sheeran had an “awkward” time at the Billboard Music Awards after Taylor Swift played a prank on him. The British singer is known for being good friends with American country star Taylor, who he is currently on tour with. Taylor has been educating him on American culture during their time in the US, although he isn’t sure how seriously to take her at times. She gave him dubious instructions on how to behave at American music awards, causing him to embarrass himself. “Taylor took me to Disneyland and we went to Vegas to the Billboard Awards together [in May]. It was really cool, but awkward, because 50 per cent of people were really American and 50 per cent were cool. Taylor got me a seat next to her. I didn’t know what to do as at a British ceremony, like the BRIT Awards, you just sit there and get drunk,” he laughed to BBC Radio 1. “But Taylor told me at an American awards when someone wins you stand up and clap, and when someone performs you stand up and dance. Then Taylor disappeared as she had to perform. Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown were behind me, so then after the first award I stood up and no-one else did. It was embarrassing. And at one point I stood up and the only other people who did with me were Nicki Minaj and her posse. It was awkward. Taylor kept popping back to check on me. But she kept winning awards though so she was off again every five minutes.” Ed likes to wind up Taylor by calling her by a rap inspired nickname, T-Swizz. He also plans to return the favour by teaching Taylor about all things British during their current stay in the UK together. “I’m hoping to take Taylor to my local pub tonight as she’s never been to a proper pub,” Ed shared. “I call her T-Swizz. It’s her rap name. I hope she’ll come, I think Jordan from [UK band] Rizzle Kicks is coming as well. We’ll be really English and she’ll feel really awkward. She can bring Nicki Minaj - she’s good at fake English.” 21

MUSIC BIZ Spandau Ballet to tour with full orchestra

Country music superstar Ronnie Dunn surprised fans in downtown Nashville for CMA Music Festival activities last night when he performed four songs on the rooftop patio of Rippy’s Bar and Grill on lower Broadway. The performance happened as fans were departing the Bridgestone Arena after watching the CMT Awards.

Country music fans were welcomed to the CMA Music Festival with an extra-special sweet treat yesterday as Denali Flavors, developers of Moose Tracks Ice Cream flavor and Purity Dairy gave away 10,000 scoops of the popular ice cream during their 10,000 Scoops Challenge to raise $10,000 for Michael W. Levi, one of the world-renowned Budweiser Clydesdales, visited the CMA office to pick up his credential for the 2013 CMA Music Festival. Country Music Hall of Fame member Brenda Lee was on hand to greet Levi and wish him luck during his appearance at the Ninth Annual CMA Music Festival Kick-Off Parade. The Clydesdales walked inCMA’s parade and was stationed in Downtown Nashville for the duration of this year’s Festival.

Spandau Ballet is planning on some special shows with a full orchestra. Tony Hadley told the show BBC Breakfast ‘We’re going to orchestrate Spandau’s greatest hits plus a couple of obscure numbers that I probably haven’t sung in 30 years. It’s going to sound beautiful, lush.but it’s going to sound big.’ Anne Dudley, who has also worked with ABC and Frankie Goes to Hollywood, is conducting and doing many of the orchestrations. Hadley says that the show will be retro and they will be playing older venues but, at the same time, he will be releasing a new album.

Queens Of The Stone Age to dethrone Daft Punk in USA

Queens of the Stone Age ‘Like Clockwork’ looks set to be the number one album in the USA by the end of this week pushing Daft Punk ‘Random Access Memories’ from the top of its perch. With sales figures midway through counting, HitsDailyDouble. com has QOTSA’s album will more than a 20% advantage of Daft Punk. The surprise in the USA could be ‘Sleeping With Siren’ by Feel which may also debut above the Daft Punk album and push Daft Punk into third spot. Also expect a debut in the Top 20 for City and Colour’s ‘The Hurray & The Harm’ and outside the Top 20 for Disclosure ‘Settle’, Portugal, The Man ‘Evil Friends’ and Barenaked Ladies ‘Grinning Streak’.

Ke$ha: People think I’m drunk

Ke$ha thinks people expect her to constantly be intoxicated. The singer has noticed that her wild behaviour can often lead people to think that she parties 24/7. However she is keen to set the record straight that she is sometimes sober. “People do expect me to be drunk most hours of every day,” she told Canada’s Entertainment Tonight. “Everybody just always thinks I’’m drunk! ‘’Cause I just act kind of drunk in general. “Not to disappoint you, but I’’m not wasted right now.” The pop star shows what her life is really like on her MTV reality series My Crazy Beautiful Life. The clips which her brother Lagan Sebert recorded are said to be unscripted portrayals of the 26-yearold’s life that are “too real.” “There’’s not one moment on the show that’’s been scripted or fake,” she said. “It’’s my life. It’’s balls out.” Ke$ha is touring with rapper Pitbull at the moment but in the six-part documentary viewers can see her previous gig dates in action. One part in the footage filmed over two-and-a half years sees the star drink her urine which caused uproar amongst parenting groups. “I know you want me

to say I wish I didn’’t drink my pee, but I’’m happy I did,” Ke$ha recently told MTV News. “I don’’t go online because it gives me anxiety. I know everyone’’s always talking about ‘’How dare I fill-in-the-blank.’’ [But] It’’s my pee!”

LeAnn Rimes: I have the right to speak my mind

LeAnn Rimes defends her right to speak publicly about her personal life. The singer took part in public Twitter feuds with her husband Eddie Cibrian’s ex-wife Brandi Glanville. In single Borrowed off her latest album Spitfire LeAnn sang openly about the adultery she engaged in with Eddie while he was still married to Brandi. Brandi criticised the music, telling In Touch magazine no one wants to hear a song ‘about breaking up a family’. LeAnn doesn’t care what Brandi thinks and the crooner insisted it was ‘therapeutic’ to let all her feelings out in song. ‘I went through every emotion you can imagine in the last four and a half years and that’s what comes through,’ she revealed on Good Morning America. ‘It was a roller coaster ride, as you can imagine.’ LeAnn claims her new tunes are completely authentic. She wanted to speak honestly about her experience and the star is happy she did. ‘It finally felt like I ripped that tape off my mouth and had something to say,’ she explained. ‘But at no one else’s expense but mine. This is just the truth. [My album is] just life. I’ve approached everything I’m a human being. I have the right to share my happiness and my failures like everybody else.’ In terms of getting into a conflict on Twitter with Brandi or anyone else, LeAnn has discovered a useful tool to prevent things like this from happening again. ‘That block button is a great thing,’ she said.

The Wanted reveal Bieber collaboration

The Wanted have revealed Justin Bieber will feature on their new album. Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes are gearing up to release their third musical offering. Although no title or release date is yet known, the boys have let fans in on what they can expect. ‘Dr. Luke, Rita Ora, Nasri, who does a lot of Bieber’s stuff, [and] Justin himself,” Max told MTV News UK when asked who would feature on the record. Youngest member Nathan made his comeback at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball yesterday after taking time out following an operation on his vocal cords in April. Having all five members back together bodes well for their follow-up to 2011’s Battleground, which spurned hits such as Glad You Came and Warzone. ‘Nath’s back, so yeah, I think it’s gonna be our best album yet and hopefully there’ll NMW - JUNE 14, 2013

New Music Weekly’s publisher Paul Loggins had a chance to visit with word famous designer Manuel during CMA Fest 2013. Manuel, fashion designer and master of celebrity couture for more than 57 years, is pleased to invite participation in an Indiegogo campaign to fund New Vision, an inspired design direction that speaks to the demand for individualism in fashion. Manuel is credited as a Hollywood costumer and master image maker whose projects have included creating the “Man in Black” image for Johnny Cash, dressing pop icons like Bob Dylan (for his performance for the Pope), Mick Jagger, the Lone Ranger, The Beatles (Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart’s Club Band album cover), Glen Campbell (the infamous”Rhinestone Cowboy” suit as well as the outfit he wore during his last-ever appearance at Carnegie Hall) and four US Presidents. He outfittied Elvis in that famous gold lamé suit and, most recently, designed a jacket featured in the hit ABC TV series “Nashville.

Country music star and Army veteran Craig Morgan put his EMT training to use on Sunday, June 9 when he helped emergency responders attend to a bad accident on Interstate 40 eastbound near Lobelville, Tennessee, just 30 miles outside his hometown of Dickson. Morgan was returning from a recent concert date when, at approximately 11:15am central time Sunday morning, two semis and a tanker collided 1/4 mile in front of their tour bus. Morgan and two members of his crew, Jerry Hines and Joey Greer, ran to the scene to help extinguish flames and care for the drivers. NMW - JUNE 14, 2013

It’s had a great response from everyone, including the lady herself. ‘We met her manager Jay Brown in New York and he said that he really liked it and that she really liked it which is always a good sign, ‘cause if she hated it we’d be in a pretty bad place,” Tom joked. ‘We’d put it out anyway!” Max said, with Jay adding: ‘I think she’s avoiding us since we wrote that one!’ Nathan found out he was suffering from a “haemorrhaging nodule” on his vocal cords in April and underwent emergency surgery soon after. The band carried on work obligations without the 20-year-old, but are now pleased to have him back. “It just feels so tender,” Jay grinned.

Kelly Parkes Rocks CMA Festival

The Eagles have announced twelve additional concerts, beginning Friday, October 4 in Lincoln, Nebraska for the iconic band’s “History of the Eagles” tour, which kicks off on July 6 in Louisville, Kentucky.

She did a four night stint that included the world famous Tootsie’s on Wednesday evening of CMA week and then moved over to the new Honky Tonk Central to enthusiastic crowds. “It was so amazing meeting all the people during CMA and I could not have asked for a better week”, said Kelly from her home in Nashville, TN. She’s getting set to release her next single along with the guidance of Mike Borchetta and his Ocala Records label. Also in the works is a holiday project the will be set for release during Christmas . Her mother Jackie is also one of her collaborators as she writes children’s books. Pompeya made their US debut with a special performance at the Roxy in Los Angeles in support of their debut single “YAHTBMF”. Our New Music Weekly editor Larry Weir was on hand for the event. Katy Perry and Robert Pattinson have “serious chemistry”. The stars have been spotted together several times in the past few months, with Katy said to be helping Robert get over his split from Kristen Stewart. They partied at the Coachella music festival and even reportedly crashed a

wedding rehearsal together. “Katy and Robert have been spending a lot of time together recently and it’’s safe to say there is serious chemistry,” a source told British magazine Grazia. It has been claimed that over the weekend they attended the wedding rehearsal, they had travelled to Katy’s hometown of Santa Barbara, California, to meet her parents. It seems the singer could be developing real feelings for Robert after deciding she wanted him to meet her mom and dad. “Katy thought the break from LA would do Rob good, and since he was no longer living with Kristen, she didn’’t hesitate in inviting him to join her,” the source added. Although Katy loves spending time with the Twilight hunk, she doesn’’t want a serious romance at the moment. The 28-year-old has been in an on-off romance with musician John Mayer and is divorced from British comic Russell Brand following a whirlwind relationship. “Katy doesn’’t want to ruin their friendship by rushing into anything,” the source explained. “Rob really likes Katy. There’’s always been a bit of a spark between them.” Robert is believed to have split from Kristen last month and has moved his things out of their shared home. According to reports, the Twilight stars struggled to move on after Kristen was unfaithful last year with married director Rupert Sanders.

Lovato credits celebrity friends with recovery

Demi Lovato credits Selena Gomez and Nick Jonas with helping her through her darkest times. The former Disney star spent three months in rehab in 2010 due to physical and emotional issues. She later admitted suffering from bulimia and self-harming. She also turned to alcohol and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The actress has admitted she had to take a careful look at who her friends were to ensure she wouldn’t relapse. The star publicly thanked those who stood by her side on Italy’s Televisionet.tv. ‘I ended up having to go through some stuff,’ she said. ‘Fortunately I have family and friends around me that are very, very supportive of me and my recovery and everything I stand for. Nick [Jonas] especially,’ she said, adding, ‘He’s always been there for me.’ Demi also made mention of her wellknown friend Selena Gomez. She has recalled in the past a phone call with the fellow Disney star sobbing. The memory will always stay with her. ‘.And Selena because she called my crying when I was in there and was just so worried,’ Demi added. ‘I was like, ‘Look, I should be the one crying, it’s all good!’ But she was so worried and ever since then we’ve gotten closer.’ The star has a busy year ahead. One Direction ‘to steal Bieber fans’

One Direction reportedly intends to capitalise on Justin Bieber’s downfall. The solo singer has disappointed many fans recently by getting into various spots of trouble in his personal life. The boys from One Direction are expected to claim some of his music buyers, as their team is putting a plan in place. ‘A lot of the girls that loved Bieber are now crushing on Harry Styles,’ an insider told Radar Online. ‘And it’s not lost on the boys of One Direction. Both them and their team is fully aware that they are gaining fans who used to love Bieber, and they know it’s the perfect time to capitalise on it and swoop in to replace him.’ Even the mothers and fathers of children usually obsessed with Justin are said to be on board with the switch. Apparently youngsters are being encouraged to devote their time to comparatively clean-cut Harry, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson. ‘All of the little girls that loved Bieber don’t love him anymore because ‘he’s bad’ and they are moving on to One Direction,’ the source continued. ‘The parents of these young fans are resentful of Justin’s behaviour and don’t think he’s a wholesome influence on their children anymore. ‘So they’re pushing for their kids to like One Direction instead.’ A photographer recently filed a lawsuit against Justin, 19, and his bodyguard after he was reportedly choked. Smokey River Boys On the Move

Keith Urban doesn’t really need American Idol to keep his Country power but it most certainly helps. “Little Bit Of Everything” (Capitol) from Keith underscores just why he is such a force in Country music. The Florida Georgia Line can’t be any hotter. Not only are they crossing formats, they are taking their new single “Round Here” (Universal Republic) for a ride and it’s exploding all over Country radio. I really love the new track from the talented Chris Young called “Aw Naw” (RCA Nashville). You may want to spend some time with this one if you haven’t already added it to a top rotation. Lady Antebellum has another gem on their hands with “Goodbye Town” (Capitol) and good for them. Lee Brice is taking full advantage of the Summer of 2013. So much so that he and his label have pulled out all the stops for the new “Parking Lot Party” (Curb). Timing is everything and Curb Records really wants this one big time. Dierks Bentley is always up for a good time. He shows it well with his stellar vocal performance of the new “Bourbon In Kentucky” (Capitol). Randy Houser is making the most of his Summer and for good reason. It seems that many of our music and program directors just can’t seem to get enough of his “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight” (Stoney Creek/Sony) single. We’ll see how that all plays out for Randy in the weeks to come but so far so good. Kenny Chesney who seems to have taken a page or two from Jimmy Buffett is back at it for his favorite time of year. “When I See This Bar” (Blue Chair/Columbia Nashville) is his latest and greatest as he keeps pace with the best of them out in Country. The field is the most crowded that I’ve seen in quite some time so the heat is on Kenny and every Country artist to step it up a few extra notches. Lennon & Maisy are taking their “Ho Hey” (Big Machine/Universal) rendition out to the format and it’s working. Luke Bryan is having himself another blockbuster summer. He’s also getting raves and lots of spins for “Crash My Party” (Capitol Nashville). American Idol icon Carrie Underwood is also keeping pace with the best of them as her “See You Again” (Arista Nashville) takes flight. AJ Croce is getting quite the buzz at Country and make no mistake about that. “Right On Time” (Seedling) is the single that seems to be making a huge impact with our many music and program directors. Chris Leigh has teamed up with The Broken Hearts for a duet jam that is out of this world. “Whiskey River” (Blue River) is the single that has a major buzz going with music critics and programmers alike. Make sure you check out the latest entry from recording artist J Micheal Laferty. There are no punches being pulled for the new “Get To The Point” (Umpqua). Taylor Made is having another great summer and I can tell you that straight up my friends. “That’s How I Roll” (Little General) is their latest slice of heaven and it underscores why they are one of the best Country Indie outfits around. Billy Currington continues his winning ways at Country radio. Make sure you give up a few extra spins for his brilliant “Hey Girl” (Mercury). Hunter Hayes continues to amaze us with his many talents. He does so once again in “I Want Crazy” (Atlantic/WEA). Kacey Musgraves is one of the hottest rising stars. We met her years ago when she was on the show Nashville Star. Finally her star is rising and make sure you lend her a hand with new “Blowin’ Smoke”. Blake Shelton has himself a pretty good group of background singers in the Pistol Annies & Friends. If I’m not mistaken there is a girl named Miranda Lambert in that bunch. Regardless of the connections and help, the single “Boys ‘Round Here” (WB/WEA) is set to become Blake’s next #1 single and for good reason, it’s Hot! Thanks for all of your well wishes and concerns over the past few weeks and it’s great to know that I have such a great support system out there. I’ll have more for you on the greatest Country songs as we continue are journey together right here on the pages of New Music Weekly Magazine.

C arrie Underwood is no stranger to the word “reality.” After all, as the winner of the 2005 season of “American Idol,” she won the hearts of millions of viewers across the world. Now, the singer has entered into a promotion that is sure to please her fan following. S ony Music Nashville and Aurasma, the world’s leading augmented reality platform, have partnered to launch an augmented reality promotional campaign for Underwood’s No. 1 album, “Blown Away,” which was released in May. U sing the free Aurasma Lite app for iPhones, iPads and Android devices available from the iTunes App Store and Google Play, fans can launch exclusive video of Underwood that is triggered by aiming the device at the cover image of Blown Away. The video leaps from the Blown Away image on the mobile device or tablet and provides a click-through gateway to the album at the iTunes store. The promotion was launched in Nashville recently at the CMA Music Festival.

“ Carrie Underwood is always looking for ways to connect with her fans,” said Gary Overton, Sony Music Nashville chairman and chief executive officer. “We are excited to embrace a cutting-edge technology like augmented reality to help give fans something special and provide a cool, unique connection between the artist and audience. Sony Music Nashville is excited to watch this fun idea unfold and is eager to partner with Aurasma on other future campaigns.” U pon its release on May 1, “Blown Away” made history by debuting at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country albums sales chart making Underwood only the second country artist in the 47 year history of the chart to have each of their first four albums debut at No. 1. “Blown Away” also debuted at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart making Underwood only the second country artist in history to have three consecutive albums debut at No. 1. “Blown Away” became country’s best-selling digital album debut since 2010. “ Carrie Underwood is a proven superstar. We are thrilled to partner with Sony Music Nashville to help increase the momentum of her smash album Blown Away,” said Jennifer Rapp, general manager of Aurasma. “By leveraging augmented reality to bridge the physical and virtual worlds, Sony gives the fans something exclusive and special, helping to keep fans connected and Carrie in the spotlight.” T he free Aurasma app runs on iPhone 3GS (and above), iPad2 (and above), and high-powered Android devices. Y esterday, Underwood performed the first of four concerts on the Australian leg of her tour to promote “Blown Away.” She kicked things off in Melbourne, and will perform in Tamworth and Brisbane on Friday and Saturday, before finishing things in Sydney on Sunday. Also, Underwood has just released the title cut as the second single -- to follow up the chart-topping success of “Good Girl,” which became her fifteenth number one record.

Country Date To Remember: February 11, 1962 Somewhere, around Fenton, Mo, there are some students who can say that they had one of music’s sexiest performers as a teacher. Sheryl Crow - long before she hit it big in 1993 with “All I Wanna Do,” was actually a music teacher at Kellison Elementary School. Though her teaching days in school are long over, Crow - who turns an amazing 50 years old today has educated many of her fans about some of Country Music’s greatest performers, such as Loretta, Hank, and Johnny Cash. Happy Birthday to one of Rock’s top women! NMW - JUNE 14, 2013

Billy Ray Cyrus ‘Hopefully, People Learn From My Mistakes’ Since 1992 and the success of a song called “Achy Breaky Heart,” Billy Ray Cyrus has learned all about busy schedules. Over two decades later, there is no sign the Kentuckian is slowing down. The singer is promoting his latest album “Change My Mind,” and has also just released his autobiography “Hillbilly Heart.” “It’s a very busy time,” he told Billboard over the weekend at Nashville’s Parnassus Books. “There was a song that I had a record on a few years ago called ‘Busy Man.’ I have found myself living those words in keeping up with all of this,” he said, referring to his top five smash from 1999. Cyrus goes into great detail about his youth in the book, with one memory concerning his father being a recurring theme of Hillbilly Heart. “Well, he gave me a lot of advice, but chapter one is called ‘Life Ain’t Fair.’ It’s the story about when my mom and dad were getting a divorce. I knew everything was messed up and different in my family as opposed to other families in Flatwoods, KY. One day, I asked him why things were like they were, and he pulled over, looked me in the eye, and said ‘Son, life ain’t fair. The sooner you realize that, the sooner you can move on.” Cyrus said he has replayed that conversation several times since whenever life’s highway has gotten rough. “Sometimes, you’ve just got to call it like it is, and do the best you can do with what you’ve been given. You work hard at your goals and your dreams. The book is dedicated to the dreamers. That’s another thing I learned from my dad -- no dream is too big to achieve. You’ve just got to chart a course, set a plan, and vow to pursue it.” When asked what he would like readers to take from the book, he says “There were a couple of times in my life where the rocket ride got a little fast, and you pray for purpose. I think it was a bit of my purpose to write this book. Hopefully, people might learn from my mistakes. I’m very honest about some of the ones I’ve made. If I can save someone from making some of the same ones, I think that’s the rhyme and the reason of the story. There’s also a few things I did right, and I think that’s something that some folks can borrow from and maybe help them to reach their goals and dreams.” He also talks about the stories of many of his biggest hits, including “Ready, Set, Don’t Go,” a 2007 duet with daughter Miley. “It was about those moments that you have in life as a daddy, where you see your little girl grow up. You think you’re ready to let go, and you prepare yourself for that moment, and you’re set. Then, as she’s saying goodbye, you want to reach out, hold her a bit longer and say ‘Don’t go.’ I still live it every day. I’ve got another little girl who just turned thirteen, Noah, so I’m living it through her. A lot of daddies and daughters have written me stories about that song, and how the song was played at weddings or graduations. One dad wrote me about taking his daughter to join the Army, and they listened to the song before they got out of the car. Things like that are the reason why I bought a guitar and started a band. The music touched somebody’s life, and it tends to make sense.” Having went through the whirlwind of “Achy Breaky” and “Hannah Montana,” the singer says “I’m at a pretty good spot in my life. I’ve written a bunch of new songs for an album I’m going to record this summer. I start a new movie the first week of May called ‘Like A Country Song’ that is filmed here in Nashville. I filmed a pilot with Randy Travis called ‘Still The King’ -- I play a dysfunctional Elvis impersonator who becomes a preacher. Randy’s the sheriff. It’s a great story, and I think it will find a home pretty soon. I love acting, being a singer / songwriter, and being here in Music City at this time in my life -- coming full circle with the book is quite unique.”

Noel Flynn An artist to be reckond with Meath, England man Noel Flynn grew up loving country music. The Athboy native, who lived in Nottingham, England for a number of years before returning to Meath,England spent four years as a DJ prior to recording his debut album. Flynn started singing professionally about three years ago. His first album, “Turn Back The Years”, was released in December 2009. A nice blend of Irish and American country, it featured songs as diverse as the Johnny McEvoy classic, “Long Before Your Time”, to Colin Raye’s “Love Me” and from the traditional folk song “Hard Times” to the Ernest Tubb number, “Thanks A Lot”. The album attracted a lot of attention in the Leinster region and provided Flynn with a strong platform to launch his singing career. However, it was the release of his follow-up single “Talking To Your Picture” that secured a lot of airplay on radio stations across Ireland, thus giving him his first major break on the circuit.

“I was honored to receive the Best Male Newcomer Award at the West Limerick 102 Country Music Awards in 2010,” says Noel. “My second album, “The Heart That Beats” in Ireland was released in 2011. It includes “Talking to Your Picture” which was sent to me by Richard Harte, “Wrong Oh So Wrong” written by Vic Holroyd, and “These Lips Don’t Know How To Say Goodbye”. This album is also a mixture of Irish and American country. “In January I decided to get a band together and hit the road. The band features Declan Reilly on bass and vocals, Padraig Harris on keyboard, accordion and vocal, Brian Walsh on drums and John Gleeson on lead guitar, dobro and vocals. I am delighted that my current single, a cover of the Don Williams song, “Lay Down Beside Me”, is getting great reviews and plenty of radio airplay at home and overseas.” Also my further two singles “The Way You Love Me” written by Mark Everett and “Let Me Be Your One And Only” written by Glen Flynn are both doing well on the airwaves as well. Flynn and his band look forward to performing at shows around Ireland and the UK in the times ahead. Additional details can be found at noelflynnmusic.com If you have a venue and wish to book Flynn please contact: Email: Noel.flynnmusic@gmail.com Tele: Noel on 0353 0862337414

We were all so excited to participate in this year’s SXSW! All of us here at College radio had such a great time that we can’t even get back to work here. So many of our reporters were on hand from Top40, AC, College to of course Country, and how cool it was to see so many in attendance. Now take a look at some news that may be of interest to you. Southern singer-songwriter Shanna Sharp adds a touch of country charm to an alternative pop vibe in her upcoming fourth album “Silver Linings Under Grey”, which she will self-release this week. This 5-track album uncovers Shanna’s vulnerability and acceptance as she pours her heart out in these musical vignettes about light and dark sides of love, the good that shines through the bad. A departure from her last full-length album Long Distance Calls from a One Night Stand told stories of fleeting romances, travels and a love that might have been, Shanna’s new Silver Linings portrays the love that is and all the good, the bad and “the everyday boring stuff that comes with it.” Says Shanna about Silver Linings, “This new album I feel really shows how I’ve evolved as a person and a musician. I wanted to focus on what could be in my writing and what I wanted for myself. I wanted to believe in hope and passion. So what started out being songs based in thought or wish became songs of my everyday reality.” Silver Linings Under Grey by Shanna Sharp unfolds this week. Acclaimed vocalist, Michael English, is set to release his new release, Some People Change this week. The highly anticipated project is Michael’s first studio recording in six years and is being released by Curb Records. Although this is his first solo recording in several years, the gifted singer has hardly been resting. Michael has kept an extremely busy touring and recording schedule as a member of the Grammy® awardwinning Gaither Vocal Band. Michael’s penetrating, powerpacked vocals are at the forefront on this new release as he is featured on brand new songs, “That Great Day,” “Waking Up The Dawn,” the current single “Stubborn,” time-tested classics such as “I’d Rather Have Jesus,” and a brand-new version of Michael’s hit song, “In Christ Alone.” A bonus track, “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry,” is included from the film “The Last Ride,” about the life of Hank Williams. Some People Change is currently available for pre-orders on MichaelEnglishMusic. com and all orders from the website will be autographed by Michael. Some People Change releases this week and will be available on iTunes, Amazon, all digital retailers as well as physical retail outlets such as Lifeway, Walmart and others. Michele Clark’s Sunset Sessions, a music industry convention and talent showcase, will head back to Carlsbad, CA (June 6, 7 & 8) for the seventh time for Sunset Sessions ROCK. Sunset Sessions ROCK will take over the entire new luxurious Hilton Oceanfront Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, CA, showcasing some of the latest and greatest in ROCK music. This convention will mark the 20th anniversary of Sunset Sessions and the third for Sunset Sessions Rock! The convention has been influential in the careers of hundreds of new artists, including The Black Keys, Fun., Ryan Adams, Jack Johnson, James Blunt, The Zac Brown Band, Jason Mraz, Dead Sara, Beware of Darkness, Grace Potter, Tristan Prettyman, The Parlotones, Alpha Rev and Jason Mraz. Marquee names like Stevie Nicks, Richie Sambora, Carlos Santana, Jimmy Cliff, Billy Corgan, Lucinda Williams, Jewel, Third Eye Blind, Chris Isaak, Melissa Etheridge, John Hiatt, Dido, and Wayne Coyne are also alumni of the illustrious event. The Recording Academy partners with Sunset Sessions to help artists navigate their careers from Sunset Sessions to The Grammys. The world premiere of the buzzed about “Honeymoon” music video by parody singer-songwriter Cledus T. Judd is set to debut this week on CMT Pure and CMT.com. The new video, produced and directed by country singer/actress Laura Bell Bundy and featuring guest appearances by Nadya “Octomom” Suleman and comedian Two-Foot Fred, will run in rotation with other Cledus classic videos every hour for 25 hours. This premiere also marks the first music/comedy feature on CMT’s new artist platform which provides fans a central place to connect with artists they love!
