Meet the Auction Company

U.S. Army Special Forces (Green Berets), received multiple purple hearts, and is a Master Parachutist. He retired from the Smithsonian in 2002 to return to a career he fell in love with at age 14 - auctioneering. Today, several state auction championships decorate his wall.

Ever loved what you were doing so much that you tended to forget what time it was, such was your enthusiasm for the activity? Well, that’s me when it comes to benefit auctions. I find fundraising galas fascinating. So much so, I founded a firm focused on helping people run them. Flash forward eight years, and now a crackerjack team of people help me help others. We get interviewed by magazines with impressive titles, work with awesome charities across the USA, and – yes – help people raise money. It’s an amazing story you can read on the website. (Where, incidentally, you can also get some pretty stellar free resources to help you plan your own auction.) www.RedAppleAuctions.com

Helping out is Bob Melvin. Upon college graduation, he lent his outgoing personality to two Fortune 500 companies before finding himself bored to tears. A chance conversation at church led him to his passion. “Ever considered becoming an auctioneer, Bob?” asked the president of a local firm. “Doesn’t everyone?” was his wisecrack response. (The rest is history.)

Tonight I’m presenting two of my terrific team members.

Do your part tonight by having fun through bidding. Newman Catholic Schools appreciates your generosity.

Colonel Bill Billingsley (WI #2678052) leads the show. His impressive background includes being a highly decorated veteran of the Vietnam War. He served six tours with the
