C AVA N N A H O M E S Cavanna Homes has a long and proud history of building fine houses. The company was first established by Philip Cavanna in 1923, with his slogan ‘Cavanna – Builders of Repute’. We believe one of the key attributes of the company, is its family ethic. Philip Cavanna, or PD as he was known, was involved in the company right up until his death in 1983, at the grand age of 93. Now run by the third generation of Cavannas, we strive to provide beautifully designed and built homes for people to enjoy and be proud of.

We’ve come such a long way since those heady days, now we are the largest independent house builder in the South West and our reputation continues to grow. We have recently won a number of accolades; in 2009, we won the LABC Best Large Housing Development in the South West. Followed in 2012 by three awards, including the LABC Best Small Housing Development in the South West and one that we’re really proud of, the ‘Top 50 Good Employers 2012.’ We were the only house builder to be recognised.

When you buy a house from us, you’ll get an energy efficient home with a ten year warranty from the NHBC. But we’re not just about building wonderful houses. Despite our size, we still offer a personalised service including a two year customer support program once you’ve bought one of our homes. So you can feel safe in the knowledge that buying a house from us will be a happy and stress-free experience. A small development of twelve contemporary homes built to a high specification, all with wonderful views of the sea and the rolling hills of Devon. The development is a short walk to the dramatic South West Coast Path and within easy reach of the beach. There are two types of uniquely designed homes, all reverse level with first floor balconies looking out over the coast, as well as gardens and parking.


ABOUT BRIXHAM Brixham rightly sees itself as the jewel on the English Riviera, being the most southerly of the Torbay area, it benefits from a unique micro-climate and is often warmer than the rest of the UK. Its location is wonderful not just for the sea but also for the wilds of Dartmoor and is less than an hour from Exeter, where you can get to London in under three hours or catch a plane to over 40 international destinations. Closer to home, you’ll find the dramatic South West Coast Path and the Berry Head National Nature Reserve. The town itself is steeped in history and culture. Back in the Middle Ages, it was one of the largest fishing ports in Britain and today it’s still a key fishing fleet in the South West. All this helps to give the town an enviable sense of community and a rich heritage. The town is centered around the deep, horse-shoe shaped harbour and the multi-coloured houses perch on the hills, giving a close-knit cosseting atmosphere. This is further demonstrated when you walk through the narrow streets and the many boutique shops that are starting to pop up everywhere. Years ago these narrow alleyways were the perfect place for smugglers to hide their booty! The town today has good restaurants, cafés and pubs serving, as you’d expect, very fresh fish and other local produce. It also has excellent amenities; indoor and outdoor swimming pools, parks and lots of activities from angling to deep sea fishing, boat trips, wreck diving and shark fishing. This, allied with numerous festivals held throughout the year, all helps to give Brixham a strong sense of culture and belonging.
