The town offers good connections and is only eight miles from the A40 and Haverford West, 23 miles from the Ireland-bound ferries of Fishguard and 52 miles from the M4. The train station uses the West Wales Line and travels through neighbouring Carmarthenshire, the ‘Garden of Wales’, to Swansea.
