The historic and pretty Gloucestershire market town of Newent, lying on the northern edge of the Forest of Dean, is the perfect location for a comfortable and secure retirement. Newent dates back to Roman times and is well known for the wild daffodils which grow naturally in the woods and meadows around the town. Many of the buildings date back to the 13th century and the town centre is based around the famous old Market House built in 1668.
