Make yourself at home in Enderby. Quality of life is about the details of everyday living. From the little things, like knowing the nearest place to pick up a pint of milk, to more important matters, like finding the right school or having a health centre nearby, you need to know that the community you’re moving to will support you and your family, as well as be a pleasant place to live. So here’s some useful information about the area around Augustus Park. Sport and leisure Enderby Leisure Centre in Mill Lane, on the eastern edge of the village and just a few minutes’ walk from Augustus Park, has just undergone a £1 million refurbishment programme to upgrade its gym, changing-rooms, crèche facilities and cafeteria. The Centre incorporates a 25m L-shaped swimmingpool, teaching pools, a comprehensively equipped Banana Fitness Suite, a sauna, three squash courts, a six-rink bowls hall, a sports hall with badminton courts, and a nine-hole golf course. There is a second leisure centre around a mile away at the Hilton Hotel Leicester, alongside junction 21 of the M1, with a swimming-pool, cardiovascular suite and weights, and a sauna and beauty suite.

Entertainment Enderby has a lively choice of local activities and organisations, ranging from the Heritage Group and the celebrated brass band, one of the largest in the UK, to the Harriers running club and the Manga Group that meets in the local library, and there is a also a good choice of bars and restaurants in the village.
