Aspect High Wycombe

A new home. The start of a whole new chapter for you and your family. And for us, the part of our job where bricks and mortar becomes a place filled with activity and dreams and fun and love. We put a huge amount of care into the houses we build, but the story’s not finished until we match them up with the right people. So, once you’ve chosen a Miller home, we’ll do everything we can to make the rest of the process easy, even enjoyable. From the moment you make your decision until you’ve settled happily in, we’ll be there to help.

Welcome to Aspect

Aspect is a beautifully landscaped neighbourhood of two, three and four bedroom homes in an attractive variety of styles overlooking High Wycombe. With a dedicated green play area to complement the private gardens, close to open countryside as well as supermarkets and the town’s shopping precinct yet also within a half-hour train journey of central London, this is a development that offers the best of several worlds.

We care about you Every year, we help thousands of homebuyers to make the move. We understand what matters to you. And that’s what matters to us. You can be sure we’ll do everything we can to make your homebuying experience stress-free and as enjoyable as possible.

Be Happy We want you to love living in your new home. That’s why everything is built around you. Your complete satisfaction is the only way we know we’re getting things right. In fact, during 2011, 97% of customers said they’d recommend Miller Homes to their best friend. To check our latest performance results see our website. Aspect 01

Living in High Wycombe

Quality of life is about the details of everyday living. From the little things, like knowing the nearest place to pick up a pint of milk, to more important matters like finding the right school or having a health centre nearby, you need to know that the community you’re moving to will support you and your family, as well as be a pleasant place to live. So here’s some useful information about the area around High Wycombe.

02 Aspect

Local Roots Some say High Wycombe means ‘the wooded valley on the Wye’, others that it’s from the Old English Wicum, a settlement. Either way, its history dates back at least to Roman times. Plentiful beech woods helped it become a celebrated centre of furniture making (in 1875 it was reckoned that the town produced 4,700 chairs every day). One unique local custom, still carried on, is the annual public weighing of the mayor to see whether he has put on weight at the expense of the people. The outcome is announced by the town crier. Transport Aspect is within twenty five minutes walk of both the town centre and the railway station. Fast rail services to London Marylebone take around 30 minutes, and M40 junction 4 is only around two miles away. Recreation Less than a mile to the north of Aspect, the vast Hughenden Park offers magnificent views, riverside walks and a children’s play area. The town’s historic common, the Rye, is now a popular park with a newlyrefurbished Lido club, while Wycombe Sports Centre provides excellent fitness, gym and indoor swimming facilities.

Shopping High Wycombe’s lively market town ambience is complemented by the modern Eden shopping centre, with its cafés, restaurants and wide range of high street retailers. The large Morrisons and Sainsbury supermarkets close to Aspect both offer late night opening. Education & Health Several GP practices and dental surgeries can be found nearby, and Wycombe Hospital provides 24-hour emergency facilities. The closest of several primaries within the area, the Disraeli School has an excellent reputation. Secondary schools within one mile include the Royal Grammar School and the private Wycombe Abbey school, and the High Wycombe campus of Bucks New University is located in the town centre. Entertainment There is a selection of contemporary, cosmopolitan restaurants and cafés in and around the town, and several bars within half a mile of Aspect. The Swan Theatre presents an eclectic programme ranging from drama and West End hits to comedy, rock and classical music, and the Eden Centre includes a 12-screen Cineworld and a bowling centre. More unusual attractions include the bizarre Hell Fire Caves, where a series of haunted, historic tunnels and caverns lead to a most unlikely subterranean banqueting hall.

Once you enter High Wycombe, follow signs for Aylesbury through a series of roundabouts and stay on the A40 at the junction with a large Sainsbury’s store on the right. At the next traffic lights, turn right into The Pastures. Take the first right into Garratts Way and follow the road as it curves round to the left. The entrance to Aspect is on the left.

From Oxford Take M40 from Oxford and leave the motorway at junction 4, taking the third exit at the roundabout to join the A404 following signs for Wycombe. At the junction immediately after a zebra crossing, follow signs for Aylesbury through a series of roundabouts to join the A40, then carry on past a large Sainsbury’s store on the right. How Green? We’re fully committed to sustainable solutions in the way we design and build your home. For example, around 75% of the homes we build stand on ‘brownfield’ sites - that’s previously used land. Find out how you can do your bit too by taking the environment test. www.mymillerstreet.co.uk

Why Miller?

We’re enormously proud of the homes we build, combining traditional craftsmanship with new ideas like low carbon technologies. The big difference is that we don’t stop caring once we’ve finished the building, or when we’ve sold the house, or even once you’ve moved in. We’re there when you need us, until you’re settled, satisfied and inviting your friends round.

This brochure is printed on Regency Satin. Regency Satin is Carbon Balanced and contains material sourced from responsibly managed forests. It’s certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, an organisation dedicated to promoting responsible forest management and manufacture of wood products, like paper. It’s a small thing, we know, but enough small things make a big difference. Please recycle this brochure and help make that difference.

designed by Blood Creative www.bloodcreative.co.uk

We’ve been building homes since 1934, that’s three generations of experience. We’ve learned a lot about people and that’s made a big difference to what we do and how we do it.
