specification Great care is taken in every aspect of the design and specification of a Miller home. From the smallest tile to the entire layout, there is meticulous attention to detail. Here you can see what to expect from your new Miller home, once it is fully complete and ready for you to move in.

Kitchen design Kitchens are carefully and practically designed to make the most of available workspace. The integrated extractor hood, single electric oven and 4-ring gas hob (in houses) or 4-ring electric hob (in apartments) together create a striking impression. Worktops are post-formed, and ceramic tiling on the walls behind them gives a clean, hygienic work area. Attractive 3-spot track lighting on the ceiling creates an airy, dramatic effect. Lighting is also usefully installed beneath the wall units (houses only) to highlight work surfaces, ensuring you can see as you chop, grate and cook! The smart, practical, stainless steel sink and half-sink share a convenient swivel monobloc tap. There are wellplanned spaces provided within the units to accommodate your own fridge-freezer and washing-machine – and this space is readyplumbed. Finally, to complete the look, walls are painted in white matt emulsion.

Bathrooms and en-suites We feel that a bathroom should always be somewhere that you can relax, no matter whether it’s a family bathroom or master bedroom en-suite. There’s tiling above the bath up to 450mm and up to 150mm above the basin, with full-height tiling around showers. Remaining walls are painted in White matt emulsion which will harmonise beautifully with any other colour scheme and pattern you introduce in fabrics, tiles and accessories. There’s an easy-to-use combined bath and shower rinser handset wherever a bath does not have a separate shower fitted overhead and the contemporary chrome taps are from the Bristan Club range.

Attractive exteriors

We understand how people don’t want to watch television in just the living-room, so we fit a TV socket in the master bedroom too. A co-axial cable is fitted to the roofspace, ready to be connected to your aerial (houses only). In the apartments, a ready-installed digital aerial and satellite system capable of supporting Skyplus is fitted. Telephone sockets are fitted in the living-room and master bedroom. The front porch of the houses have a welcoming light, together with doorbell and chimes. Garages, wherever possible, are fitted with lighting and a double electrical power socket.

We ensure that all our properties look exceptionally attractive and are easy to maintain in the years to come. Front gardens are finished to the approved landscaping plan.

Economic, comfortable heating Miller are careful to ensure that you can create the right level of comfort in each room in your home, while helping you to be energy-efficient and keep your heating costs as low as possible. In the houses, Gas central heating is installed throughout, with thermostatically-controlled radiators in the main rooms which you can set individually. In the apartments, electric panel heaters are fitted. In the houses, there will be either a gas or electrical point for a fire, where possible, so you can install the fire of your choice in your living-room and create a welcoming focal point. Double-glazed windows also help prevent heat loss.

Safe and secure Everything is in place to ensure that your home is safe and secure. All fascias, soffits and bargeboards are made with hardwearing uPVC, wherever local planning regulations permit. Window locks are ready-installed on all windows (except for designated escape windows), and there’s a multi-point locking system on the front door. Mains-powered smoke detectors provide additional safety.

Decoration and finish Our properties come well-finished, giving you the choice to retain the present décor or use it as a blank canvas for your own style. All walls (except wet rooms which are finished in fresh white matt emulsion) are decorated in fresh Gardenia matt emulsion. Woodwork is finished in white gloss and ceilings have a smooth finish. Stairs are finished with attractive stop-chamfered spindles. Internal doors are semi-solid wood in the traditional colonial style with chromeplated ironmongery. The skirting board is 100mm deep, with a 50mm architrave to complete the classic look. All properties are also ready-fitted with house numbers.
