HOW TO CHOOSE A PROGRAM BEGINNER LEVEL

Our beginner classes are geared towards students with little to no experience in a medium. They offer a fun way to try something new or explore an art form you’ve always been afraid to try. Our classes work like building blocks so if you find a class you like, you can continue to explore more advanced classes. This level is also a great refresher if you haven’t practiced in a while.

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL

Move your basic understanding of an technique and design forward with intermediate classes. You’ll learn about the finer points of medium and learn to express your personal voice through your art.

EXPERT LEVEL

Our expert level classes and special topics are tailored for those that are interested in fully developing their own voice and highly refined, distinct work. These classes involve a high level of dialog and critique and a focus on developing a body of work.

“It is a privilege to work for the Community Education program, bringing together our local and regional art communities. Everyday, we work to provide the tools, direction, and environment that lets people explore their creative side, no matter what their background in the arts may be. From beginner to expert, we see how creative expression enriches the lives of our students. That’s why we do what we do.” Chris Archer

Associate Dean of Community Education & Ceramics Faculty
