AROUND THE GAME Rob Baxter Head Pro at Segregansett CC 2015 RIPGA Teacher of the Year The Rhode Island Chapter of the PGA of New England has chosen Rob Baxter, the head PGA Professional at Segregansett Country Club in Taunton Massachusetts as The 2015 PGA Teacher of The Year. Rob has served as the head pro at Segregansett since 2013. Prior to that Rob was the PGA Director of Golf Town, First Assistant at Whitinsville Golf Club also served as the Head Professional at Crestwood Country Club in Rehoboth, Ma. In addition Rob was an assistant at Rhode Island Country Club in Barrington, Wannamoisett Country Club in East Providence, R.I. and Boca Lago Country Club in Boca Raton, Fl. And Kirkbrae in Lincoln, R.I.
Rob studied golf and graduated from Central Connecticut University His extensive experience in the game over the last 25 years has made him one of the most respected PGA Professionals in the New England region. He is a dedicated teacher of the game and has been involved throughout his career in the promotion and growth of the game through junior golf programs. He is an accomplished professional with numerous state, college and professional victories throughout his career and played on both the Central Connecticut University Golf Team and Georgia Southern University Golf Team. The membership and staff at Segregansett Country Club would like to congratulate Rob for this great accomplishment in his professional career.
