This Sunday?s preliminary final will be held at St John Oval and pits host club Central Newcastle v Cessnock. The clubs have met three times this season with the outcomes being a win a-piece and a draw. 2019 PLAYERPOINTS In 2019, the Newcastle Rugby League has moved to a new points system. Each club is entitled to register players a maximum 130 player points across the club in all grades (please note all Blues Tag players are all classified as zero points). In addition, on game day all first grade teams are capped at 100 points per match. All registered players and their points value are available to view via our website in the "Club Points" section: www.newcastlerugbyleague.com.au

LIVESCORINGFORFIRSTGRADE All first grade teams for each weekend are posted on nswrl.com.au under "Draws > Business Plaza Cup". The first grade teams are posted there at 5pm every Tuesday. In another exciting development, all Newcastle Rugby League first grade matches will be live scored on the New South Wales Rugby League website, so you will be able to view the scores and interchanges and they happen on the field. Visit the NSWRL website to follow the scores.


FINAL SERIES RULES M ATCH DURATION: Each match shall be played in two equal halves with an interval. The time of each match shall be; Blues Tag: 25 minutes each half Under 19s: 30 minutes each half Open Grade:30 minutes each half Reserve Grade: 35 minutes each half First Grade: 40 minutes each half

TIM E OFF: Time off will apply in all grades in all finals series matches.

SUSPENDED M ATCH: In the event of an emergency which leads to the match being suspended and not resumed (e.g. a player not being able to be moved), the following will apply: Su spen ded in f ir st h alf : if the total playing time is less than the first full half, the match is to be replayed at a later date to be determined by Newcastle RL. Su spen ded at or af t er h alf t im e: If after the completion of the first half, the match is suspended and not resumed due to an emergency, the match shall be deemed completed, with the result of the match being the result which stood at the time that play was suspended. Ext r a t im e: If scores are level at the conclusion of regular time, extra time will

be played. Extra time shall be 2 x 5-minute periods, after the initial 5 minutes of play, the referee will cease play and teams shall immediately change ends. The team that did not kick off to commence the initial period of extra time, will kick off to recommence the second period. If scores are equal at the end of extra time, play sh all t h en con t in u e on an u n lim it ed basis u n t il t h e f ir st poin t or poin t s h ave been scor ed (e.g. field goal, penalty goal or try) to determine the winner of the match. There is no stoppage to begin golden point.

REPLACEM ENT OF PLAYERS: The replacements permitted grade shall be as follows:

REPORT: WESTERNSUBURBS ROSELLAS Last Sunday the Rosellas hosted the second final at Harker Oval and came away with three wins in Open Grade, Reserve Grade and First Grade, keeping them on their winning way to their Grand final. What a great effort by all players during the season to get them here. Going down on the day were the 19?s and the Blues Tag team. Both teams will play off this Sunday at St. John Oval to get to their Grand Final. The Rosellas LLT playing South Lions and the 19?s taking on the Cessnock Goannas. Good luck to both teams and we are sure they will join our other teams. We would like to thank all the other clubs, our players, coaches, support staff, committee and supporters for another good season of Rugby League and look forward to next year.
