From The Great American Songbook Susan Bullock Richard Sisson Petroc Trelawny

soprano piano compere

Internationally renowned soprano Susan Bullock explores the Great American Songbook – Gershwin, Kern, Rodgers, Arlen and Sondheim. Susan calls her programme Songs My Father Taught Me, having known these glorious standards all her life. During the evening BBC Radio 3’s Petroc Trelawny will talk to her about what these great 20th-century classics meant to her growing up in England. At the piano is one of the country’s most admired cabaret pianists, Richard Sisson, adding to a magical evening of sophisticated elegance. To add to the occasion, you can pre-order a delicious picnic from Honesty Group to enjoy in the grounds of Combe Manor prior to the show – details on the Festival website.
