Inspired by a client’s request for a tranquil relaxation zone, Mike Jenner of American Design and Landscape in Parker revitalized the backyard of a residential Lone Tree property, shown, by constructing a prominent water feature complete with fire pits and fresh plantings. After studying the site and noticing the descending slope with which he’d be working, Jenner found that the topography of the land was “ideal for an environment with a waterfall and fire feature,” he says. Blending vibrant dianthus flowers with the existing ponderosa pine trees and blue arctic willows, Jenner established a backdrop that exudes botanical harmony. With cascading mountain granite boulders specifically positioned for the water to compose a soothing symphony as it falls, this outdoor oasis fosters the desired peaceful ambience with a picturesque mountain aesthetic. americandl.com
