Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan

Lyon Meadows Conference Center Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan had outgrown the original conference center spaces and also wanted to refurbish an underutilized cafeteria space to better improve its use and revenues. Neumann/Smith provided full architectural and interior design services for the renovation of approximately 65,100 sf of the existing 167,100 sf facility, originally constructed in 1980. The renovation of the Lyon Meadows Conference Center included:

Covered entry and renovated façade Training room with seating for up to 60 people Lobby and security desk/badging station Pre-function area with support services, coat room and business center with lockable cubicles with power for mobile charging New information kiosk New collaboration area and 4 visiting offices/breakout meeting rooms with translucent glazing Large conference rooms that can be combined to provide training seating for 90 people Banquet seating for 192 people and lecture seating for up to 240 people A new dedicated video conference room with seating for up to 23 people utilizing specialized video conference room lighting New conference rooms in variable sizes for seating from 12 to 36 people New café foyer and new café with translucent overhead rolling doors New atrium dining area with new insulated roof and lounge seating
