SHAPING COMMUNITIES For the last 40 years Neumann Monson Architects has merged talent and expertise to drive positive change through relevant design. Our success grows as the communities we love thrive. Iowa’s pragmatic sensibility guides all our work, crafting lasting solutions with a clear sense of purpose. We empower our people, our clients, and our communities through thoughtful problem solving.

MEETING DOWNTOWN Iowa’s cities are flourishing as mixed-use and urban infill projects energize them with vibrant prosperity. Urban markets are climbing the rankings for best places to live, work, and play. Other cities are heeding the innovations we’ve brought to Des Moines and Iowa City, with like-minded developers moving to action across the state. Above left: 350 E. INSPIRING SUCCESS In addition to providing state-of-the-art teaching environments, well-designed schools act as local landmarks and neighborhood centers. Flexible frameworks adapt to change, keeping Iowa’s deep-rooted values as a constant. Whether we design for K-12 or higher education, Neumann Monson leverages a deep toolkit of learning solutions to make every space an exceptional learning place. MAKING CONNECTIONS Our intermodal transportation centers and parking structures enrich the moments of transition. Transit facilities contribute essential momentum to local and regional growth by anchoring the commuter network. The result is a more vibrant community and a more interconnected, sustainable region – a point of pride for all cities involved. BUILDING TEAMS We take a holistic approach to design, with clients as close collaborators. Working together, we challenge the status quo. By elevating clients’ visions, we produce designs that inspire others to follow suit with the same goals: quality, sustainability, and shared responsibility. WORKING HEALTHY We help workplaces strike a balance between collaboration and solitude; group interaction and undisturbed thinking. By harnessing natural daylight and sustainable building systems, we produce spaces that energize occupants to be their best selves. GOING BEYOND Enduring architecture values quality over quantity. We provide building solutions that withstand the test of time, addressing challenges both in the present and in the future. Our collective success ripples out, sparking new projects that invigorate neighborhoods and transform skylines. Above: Hieronymus Square, Iowa City Opposite: Blackbird Tower, Des Moines

RISING TOGETHER 2017 marks Neumann Monson Architects’ 40th year. To celebrate, we’ve challenged ourselves with #40FORWARD; a year-long service campaign committed to more than 40 volunteer programs around Eastern and Central Iowa. So far, #40FORWARD has resulted in over 2,800 hours of dedicated volunteer time. The centerpiece is our design for FUSE, a permanent home for the chronically homeless, which integrates health and social services into permanent housing. Above: FUSE rendering
