The Care Certificate PCB Care Certificate In March 2015 the requirements for induction training for health & social care staff changed fundamentally through the introduction of the “Care Certificate”. This was designed to replace the then existing “common
“national minimum standards”. The shift in philosophy was to move away from a purely theory based programme by adding the requirement to observe “competence” within the workplace, in order for the Care Certificate to be awarded and the delegate to be signed off as competent.
PCB support the development, delivery and practical application
programme is available as a modular system and may be offered either on a blended platform (suitable for those with experience) which is supported by recognition of existing and current Mandatory certification or as a combined package (suitable for those new or returning from a long absence of working in care) which integrates all necessary mandatory elements. We provide a 2 day classroom based intermediary certificate
“Introduction to care” incorporating all 15 standards of the Care Certificate and is predicated on the fact that all delegates hold a full suite of current mandatory certification.
