President’s Welcome On behalf of Neosho County Community College and its Board of Trustees I bid you welcome to the West/Central District Wrestling Tournament. NCCC is proud to host this event for 2012 during our 75th anniversary year. Neosho County Community College is experiencing one of the best years in its long history. With the launching of a new $8.1 million campus at Ottawa, KS, and with the expansion of new programs such as Occupational Therapy Assistant, Surgical Technology, and Energy Management NCCC is experiencing record growth at all of its campuses. In fact, NCCC has grown from 18 out of 19 community colleges in 2003 in terms of credit hours produced, to 10th by the end of 2012. With this growth, the College has begun a 10year plan to revitalize the Chanute campus. Fall 2011 saw the completion of an $800,000 simulation hospital and business center in Rowland Hall. March 1, 2012 the College breaks ground on a $500,000 sports complex for softball and youth soccer. This spring will also see $490,000 in improvements to the College gymnasium and Student Union featuring a new gym floor, bleachers in the mezzanine, and renovated bathrooms. In the coming years NCCC will revitalize Stoltz Hall, it’s main classroom building, with new science labs and renovated classrooms. New buildings are planned for greater practice and activity space for athletics, improved student services, and a greatly expanded fine and performing arts center. It is an exciting time at Neosho County Community College. I wish all of the participants good luck. I am hopeful that we will see some exciting injury-free matches! Enjoy the tournament! Brian Inbody, Ed. D. President
