This weekend everything baby to teen comes together at the third annual Nelson Parent and Child Expo. Every year the Expo just keeps getting bigger and better, offering families from all over our region a chance to talk to some of the best local experts in products and service for the whole family. Due to the growing success of the expo this year’s event has moved to a much bigger venue to allow for more exhibitors, more entertainment and even more local attendees. People attending the event can expect to see a wide variety of products and demonstrations from both local small businesses and other exhibitors from further afield. It’s a great way to not only support parents, but business owners who have great products to share too.” A highlight of the event will be the Great Baby Gear and Maternity Swap which provides the opportunity to clear out your used baby gear and maternity clothing and swap them for items you need, or sell them. Proceeds from the swap will go to Sands, Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Support Nelson, so you can de-clutter while supporting an amazing cause. The swap costs $5 to enter. Simply drop your swap items to the Trafalgar Centre on Friday afternoon/ evening together with the downloadable form from www.nelsonparentandchildexpo.co.nz. You will be issued with ‘swap dollars’ which can be used to purchase items on Saturday or you can use cash. For the first hour the swap will be open only to those with swap dollars. After 11am it will be open to the pub-
lic to purchase goods with cash and entry will be free. In conjunction with the Nelson Parent and Child Expo, best selling parenting author Nigel Latta is bringing to Nelson a hugely entertaining evening on how to get kids through the first ten years of their lives and stay sane at the same time. You can catch ‘Nigel Latta - The First Decade’ this Thursday at the Trafalgar Centre. Purchase your ticket via www.eventfinda.co.nz, or from Ykids Reception, and hang on to it after the show, because it will get you free entry into the expo on Saturday.
