Facilitator: Marci Penner Director of the Kansas Sampler Foundation Rural Kansas needs to hear that it’s important to a thriving Kansas. Not just the agricultural segment, but rural communities, too. It is profoundly important that we create an atmosphere of hope and opportunity that results in action. We can start taking steps toward a renewed rural if we bring together a mix of ideas with shared passions and energy. The goal is to bring together dedicated people from every aspect of rural life in order to find common possibilities and create innovative grassroots solutions that are achievable especially by volunteer-led communities. Let’s find things we can do that would affect almost everyone, practice on these attainable goals and then work toward bigger goals in the future.

It’s all about sustaining rural communities! Sponsors: Northeast Kansas Coalition for Regional Economic Development Glacial Hills Resource Conservation and Development Inc.
