Westport is unique in the sense that the village area or Main Road area is the center of the town with quaint shops, historic homes and small restaurants. The Point region of the village is one of the town’s most historic areas. Just west, a region in town called Acoaxet along the western branch of the Westport River has beautiful seaside homes along the river and ocean front homes on Buzzards Bay at the point. Little Compton’s South Shore & Goosewing beaches nudge up against the state line of Massachusetts, one of the few 2 state beaches in New England. Little Compton has often been referred to as “Rhode Island’s Secret Coast”, it is just out of the way and people who live here like that just fine. Little Compton, RI is a place that remains very much the same from a bygone

time. It is truly one of the most quaint and beautiful places in all of New England. Further up the river the town of Tiverton abuts Little Compton and quaint regions like Tiverton’s 4 Corners and Main Road along the river are some of the town’s more picturesque areas. The Fogland Beach area is a very popular recreational area and offers numerous waterfront properties as well with beautiful west facing sunsets. If you are looking for one of the finest regions in New England to buy your next home with all the amenities of country and coastal living the this region is a must see. With easy highway access to all southern New England’s metro areas this is one of the best-kept secrets in real estate in the region. Bristol County Forecast Looks Bright by NEHLStaff

U.S. Census Bureau's 2013 County-level population was released on March 27, 2014, and the trends look very positive for regions south of Boston. Bristol County will see significant growth. Norfolk and Suffolk counties to the north continue to have severe housing shortages in median price homes ranging from $300,000 - $400,000. These issues will be a major driving force in the future of Bristol County Massachusetts.

A look at The Numbers By 2020, 170,000 new homes are expected to be built statewide in Massachusetts with over 43% of them in rural Southeast Massachusetts cities and towns. With better tax incentives and development deals many companies have relocated from greater Boston south as well as out of state firms as well. The newest and most telling trend is the increase in north to south commuter traffic both on highways and public transportation. Southcoast rail will finally work economically as a two way street, driven by steady growth in both population and industry in the Bristol County region.

Statistical Realities From 1970-2011 Bristol County Massachusetts grew from just under 450,000 residents to over 550,000 a 23 % increase. In the 48

Your credit is a still the major factor in determining if you will be approved for a mortgage. The way lenders asses your credit is by pulling your FICO scores from the three major credit bureaus, Experian, Trans Union, and Equifax. Each repository gives a numerical value to your credit which is known as your FICO score. Lenders will use the middle score to determine first if you are eligible and then what type of interest rate you may get. The three fico scores are always different because creditors sometimes only report to either one or two of the bureaus. The middle score gives the lender the best indication of your ability to pay the loan back.

Here’s how your score is determined: 35 percent is determined by your payment history. Do you regularly pay your bills or fines on time to any creditor that submits your information to the credit bureau? Even unpaid library fines, medical bills or parking tickets may appear here.

30 percent is based on the amounts you owe each of your creditors, and how that compares with the total credit available to you or the total loan amount you took out. If you’re maxing out your credit cards, your score may suffer. 15 percent is based on the length of your credit history, both how long you’ve had each account and how long it’s been since you had any activity on those accounts. The fewer and older the accounts, the better (assuming you’ve made timely payments). 10 percent is based on how many accounts you’ve recently opened compared with the total number of your accounts, as well as the number of recent inquiries on your report made by lenders to whom you’ve applied for credit.Your score can drop if it looks as if you’re seeking several new sources of credit - a sign that you may be in financial trouble. The final 10 percent is determined by the types of credit used. Having installment debt - like

a mortgage, in which you pay a fixed amount each month - demonstrates that you can manage a large loan. But how you handle revolving debt, like credit cards, tends to carry more weight since it’s seen as more predictive of future behavior. It is crucial that you know your credit history before you apply for a mortgage. Your FICO score will determine what interest rate you qualify for.
