The new neighborhood of Corbeville is a key site between a wooded hillside and an edge area and between two new neighborhoods, Polytechnique and Moulon. To link those landscape and urban entities, the concept of ÂŤpercolationÂť brings permeabilities among the different sectors. The urban typology bases its identity on the strong vegetal presence with straps that enable the landscape to infiltrate the neighborhood. A canopy is deployed from the hillside to the northern edge following a frame (5x5 meters) that will adapt to the role and scale of each space. The canopy spreads and transforms in groves, rain gardens, alignments... It takes the shape and propose an adapted use to the different typologies ( alleyways, plots, esplanades) to create new inhabiting modes. The continuity of the canopy is ensured by the integration of the frame within the private parcels. The ambition is to create a proximity with the nature to generate practices, micro-landscapes, paths as in a forest neighborhood.

Mission:

urban and territorial consultation 2015-2016

The study is part of the interministerial urban consultation for the creation of the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis. 3 interdisciplinary teams have been selected to work on a future territorial vision and to propose projects demonstrating the metropolitan ambition. The vision of LIN is built on 3 integrated themes: -the landscape-islands to intensify the relationship between city and nature -the integrated mobility to facilitate both people and goods movements -the metropolis of links to build the endogenous ans exogenous with Toulon, Arles, le val de Durance, the Rhodanian corridor with Europe and the Mediterranean basin

MATTERS TO INHABIT THE WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD

Status:

Final project

Situation:

Montreuil,France

Calendar:

Master 2, July 2015

This final project comes as the continuity of a reflection initiated with the memory thesis called «Little voids, matters of inversion». The theorical step has consisted in identifying and referencing very small, imperfect and derelict interstitial urban spaces; micro-third-landscapes that welcome informal and everyday practices. Somewhere between the vagrancy and the hunt, an architectural posture has taken the shape of the catalogue as a basis for the project. To grasp the multitude of the «little nothings», different medium of representation ( maps, videos, illustrations...) have been employed to show the possible networks of little urban matters. This work aims to regain the matrix capacity of the city that enable the reinvention and transformation of those quotidian thresholds to inhabit the «whole neighboorhood». The architectural project is a proposition to reactivate some abandonned interstices linked to two bigger polarities and their experimental programmations. A «local workshop» and a «hall of commons» are envisionned with gravitating smaller spaces all around. This small spatial network aims to create an empowerment platform for local actors to organise places of popular and urban cultures to conjugate with the rapid gentrification of Montreuil.

Master 2, 2014

The Saclay valley, in the south of Paris, is a territory with important stakes. An international innovation cluster is planned to be build on what is actually one of the most fertile agricultural lands of Europe. The project condition is to develop an economic architecture on 50 years to reactivate and improve the existing sites. To answer the multiple spatial and energetic flaws, a program is proposed to develop partnerships and associations between the different actors. An experimental community gathering inhabitants, students and farmers is formed around a methanization and cellulose factory, research laboratories, agriculture structures, a covered market, exhibition spaces, workshops, student dwellings. This ambitious programmation, by the possible flexibilities, aims to reeavluate the local ressources, material and intelectual, the improvment of energetic and food short circuits, the better isolation of universities buildings and the planning of conviviality spaces in the campus.

ARCHITECTURAL INVERSIONS

video, 5min seminar «Sensible territories» ENSAPVS, 2013

The expected outcome of the seminar «Sensible territories» was to produce a short video translating an architectural question following the shared experiences and reflections during the semester. I have seized the video medium to show fluxus of stretching, contracting, telescoping images; masses of light under different aspects: blurred, fidgety, sporadic, dark, bright, smooth... Those different states of images in movement question the rubbing of inside and out, humand and landscape presences embedded in transformation from one to another. With the images, the notions of inversion and architecture as a living matter appears? The inversion creates vibrations and oscillitating in-betweens; is architecture imposing its conditions or is it the appropriation by people that make architecture ?

FINISHING THE AVENUE DE FRANCE How to create a continuity catalysing a processus ? Workshop ENSAPVS ClĂŠment Blanchet-OMA 2013

24

The avenue de France, in the south-east of Paris, stops clumsily on the ring road of the city. A chaos of infrastructures stands along the banks of the Seine river: ring road, inactive railways, industrial structures... The proposition is to create a system capable to structurate and ordonnate a noisy context first and then to enable a progressive disorder. This urban process is initiated with the repetition of the infrastructure pattern. With the multiplication of linearities, parallel vectors contribute to erase the boundaries and to encourage dialogues between facades.
