1 FRIDAY All day. Collier Harvest “Stamp Out Hunger” Letter Carrier’s Food Drive. Collier Harvest, the non-profit agency that manages the “Stamp Out Hunger” event locally, asks residents of Naples and Marco Island to place their non-perishable food donations by their mail boxes anytime between May 1 and May 9th, to be picked up by their letter carriers. All residents, including seasonal residents returning home, may also drop off donations at the post office on North Goodlette-Frank Road or the Coco River post office on Immokalee Road. Collier Harvest welcomes volunteers, middle school age and older, on May 9th from 2-8pm, to help sort the food collected. Last year, over 250,000 lbs. of canned goods were collected. On a daily basis, 113 Collier Harvest volunteers deliver food to 40 agencies that support thousands of families in our community.
