Overview From New York Times, USA Today, and WSJ best-selling author of Wife by Wednesday, comes the second novel in her delightful, delicious Not Quite trilogy. Gorgeous hotel heiress Katelyn “Katie” Morrison seems to have it all. But when she crosses paths with Dean Prescott—the only man she’s ever loved—at her brother’s wedding, Katie realizes there’s a gaping hole in her life. After the ceremony she gets an even bigger surprise: a baby girl left on her doorstep. Determined to keep the newborn until she learns who her mother is, Katie has her hands full and doesn’t need Dean snooping around…especially when his presence stirs feelings she thought were long gone.

Dean Prescott knows Katie is lying to him about the baby. He shouldn’t care what the woman who broke his heart is up to…and he most certainly shouldn’t still be aching for her. Yet Dean can’t ignore the need to protect Katie—or the desire to be near her every chance he gets. But when he and Katie solve the mystery surrounding the baby, their second chance for happiness could be shattered forever.

Reviews Absolutely loved this book! I found that I was so "stuck" in it that I ended up staying up most of the night to reach the end (not an easy task with 2 young children to look after today lol). The storyline just got better and better throughout the book and there was quite a few twists that kept you guessing! In some the chapters you're left clutching the edge of your seat wondering what was going to happen next and how the character would resolve the conflict. Would highly recommend this to everyone! Much like the first book Catherine has setup a perfect coupling with her characters. I absolutely love her style with her characters and the arcs that they go through. This story is just as good as the first in the series, it doesn't fall victim to the curse of the sequel at all. I LOVE Katie and Dean, and it's great how they were briefly introduced in the first book and now you get to see some of their story. Catherine so knows her characters, you can just feel them speaking into her ear and her writing down their story as they tell it to her. The story is one of love and the conquering the different aspects of falling for a man while Katie has desperately fallen in love with baby Savannah. Catherine doesn't write a how to keep a baby found on your doorstep, instead she focuses on the story and her characters. Catherine has done the magic again with this one and I hope she write a ton more books in this series! I cannot wait!
